I don’t understand how she can be a Conservative. It was also Theresa May, when Home Secretary, banned Michael Savage from entering the UK due to his hate speech.

The people who complain about our “arcane” Electoral College system for electing our President, seem to forget that the British don’t get to vote for Prime Minister at all—even indirectly. They get to vote for their MP. The MPs are the ones who vote for the PM. As in our system, which party gets the most votes is irrelevant; it’s which party wins the most seats.
