The nation’s largest firearms trade association expelled Dick’s Sporting Goods on Friday morning, citing the retailer’s decision to hire multiple gun control lobbyists. The vote to expel Dick’s from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, or NSSF, was unanimous, the group said in a press release issued Friday morning.
“The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industries, Board of Governors today unanimously voted to expel Dick’s Sporting Goods from membership for conduct detrimental to the best interests of the Foundation,” the group announced.
So did Springfield Armory.
And don’t forget to add Gander Mountain and Yeti to $hit list.

As far as I know, Dick’s never sold “modern assault rifles”.
Question:
Are the Dick’s owners kissing up to the David Hogg types and pretending to care about them?
Or, do they genuinely believe in destroying our 2nd Amendment rights?
A lot of our liberal neighbors seem to be that way. They are for certain issues to look good to others and get pats on the back. But then say other things quietly.
Every firearms, ammo, and accessory manufacturer should fire the Dicks. Break them.

I hope Dick’s CEO, Edward Stack, knows what he’s doing. Alienating gun buyers, at a time when online retail is decimating bricks-and-mortar chains, seems a little risky.

Another: Gambles stores, Gamble-Skogmo. Small towns in the midwest were considered to be a retail destination if they had one or the other. Don’t forget your S&H Green Stamps!

Target caters to yuppies (who, almost by definition, either don’t care about gun issues or are actively pro-gun control) who have more money than time, whereas Dick’s would seem to have more of the gun-owning demographic. That’s why Dick’s actions are a real threat to its top and bottom lines.
I miss the old days
Its virtue-signaling to the hoplophobic Left.
Maybe liberal customers will make up for the losses of traditional gun owners who no longer buy from Dicks.
Maybe that works out for Stacks who knows. At least he’s not on the receiving end of a tirade from Hogg.
And Dicks has escaped social controversy.
