So did Springfield Armory.
And don’t forget to add Gander Mountain and Yeti to $hit list.

I think I have been to Dicks once.
It’s a crap sports store, where you can buy shoes, and clothes
**** Dicks
Dunham’s it is for my sporting goods needs.
Dicks a sporting good store for snowflakes and other “wanna be” sportsmen .
“NSSF previously expressed disappointment at decisions by Dicks Sporting Goods to no longer sell modern assault rifles...”
As far as I know, Dick’s never sold “modern assault rifles”.
Every firearms, ammo, and accessory manufacturer should fire the Dicks. Break them.
I hope Dick’s CEO, Edward Stack, knows what he’s doing. Alienating gun buyers, at a time when online retail is decimating bricks-and-mortar chains, seems a little risky.
HA! Good!
Target caters to yuppies (who, almost by definition, either don’t care about gun issues or are actively pro-gun control) who have more money than time, whereas Dick’s would seem to have more of the gun-owning demographic. That’s why Dick’s actions are a real threat to its top and bottom lines.
I find this action by Dick’s, hiring lobbyists, to be inexplicable. If they want to stop selling guns, stop selling guns. But to hire lobbyists is in essence getting into a different business for them. Those lobbyists do not come cheap. And Dick’s Sporting Goods is a brick-and-mortar retailer that is going to have to start selling more and more Chinese crap if it wants to maintain margins. So for them to spend 250000 or $400,000 on lobbyists is absurd.
Used to spend money there, but no more.
If I ever shorted a stock, they would be it... making a bet stopping other competitors from selling Firearms is really a stretch of a bet to place. More likely this will backfire tremendously and hurt their business if Amazon wasn’t hurting them already this will be a doozy. You Can’t fix stupid.
Dicks has very little of interest to me. It’s nothing but an unorganized and expensive flea market.
Dick’s really stepped on theirs.
Well...Bye!
Removing AR-type rifles from their inventory I get, if that's what they want to do; destroying them is pure virtue-signalling political theater, and someone else will be happy to sell them. Hiring a pair of gun control lobbyists, though, that's something else. That isn't a business decision, that's a political act that is something quite a bit more than simply selling or not selling rifles.
I'm not even annoyed, since I never bought so much as a tent stake from them anyway. Let the market decide.
Fishing is murder.
Boycott Dick’s.
