Splitting an anti- vote in a primary isn’t too smart, either. Almost assures the target’s winning.

He ran Massey Energy for ten years. During his tenure the company was repeatedly cited for “serious” and unrepentant safety violations. He was indicted for a lot of this but managed to beat the rap on the most serious charges. A lot of his underlings have been less fortunate. His company’s massive criminal safety violations got 29 miners killed in the Upper Big Branch Mine disaster. This man is an amoral monster. Morally he is a mass murderer. If Blankenship somehow manages to win the nomination then we need to rally behind the Dimocrat. There are worse things than loosing an election.

So he is a good debater. So what?
He is a good criminal and was a terrible Mine owner.
Responsible for the deaths of 29 miners.

Roy Moore redo...but worse.
Moore was beaten by allegations alone.
Blankenship is a convicted criminal.

Manchin will have a field day with Blankenship.

He talks big about defending coal. And WV is coal country. He has a lot of money. But I don’t think he could win a general election.

Anyone know whether state law allows Democrats to hijack the Republican primary by voting for the weaker candidate?

I watched part 3 where he eviscerates McConnell and was received with rousing applause.

He knows his stuff and I can see how his message about the swamp resonates.

He sounds like the right man with the wrong past.

His background makes him look like the next Roy Moore and it appears, with his past, he could be soundly defeated.

West Virginia would be better off with “Trapper” that old guy off the show Mountain Monsters, those hill billies who are always chasing Bigfoot’s throughout the Appalachia.

A significant percentage of registered Republican voters will reliably vote for the craziest person in any race.

I am not a WV voter, but I can see why they might vote for him.
(I would have voted for Roy Moore)
((I will never again vote for Bush League Republicans))

Thanks for posting these links.

I can see why Blankenship is popular. He’s a good man that was railroaded by the Obama Administration on fake/fabricated charges because of the war on coal. He got a bad rap, railroaded and jailed like Dinesh D’Souza.

He eventually beat all the fake felony charges. He’s obviously a good man. He knows the industry better than any of the others and he understands what is needed from the federal government and importantly, he’s able to articulate all the above with seriousness and cred. Talks stats, endorsements of opponents (Morrisey endorsed by same as Manchin). One can learn from him. The others are vacuous windup political blubbery dolls.

Morrisey, Jenkins spouting buzzwords, ‘Planned Parenthood’, ‘I’m a conservative’, blah, blah, blah

Blankenship cites facts, accomplishments, personal anecdotes that connect with voters. He says things they know are true from a local perspective.

Jenkins lived more in DC than WVA and is laced with Swamp virus. Gives stock responses; totally predictable, low cred.

Morrisey, not so bad but just another run-of-the-mill attorney. He lacks charisma and gravitas. But he could pull it off maybe. He tries to talk coal which is the DNA of the voters and he looks a little phony, talks coal like a lawyer, not a blue collar. But he might eke through is he gets the nod. I think his nomination would lose to Manchin. He just ain’t projecting cred that blue-collar families can hang their future on.

Blankenship sees McConnell as a skunk. He’s got my cyber vote on that.

Jenkins = WVA Lindsey Graham (blech!).
Morrisey = professional politician, says what you want to hear, buzzwords, hot issues windup doll.
Blankenship = serious, just the facts, somber, trustworthy, knows his stuff.

I can see why the President wants voters to avoid Blankenship, not because he’s not a good man, but because of the democrat machine and the McConnell treachery to come. They will attempt to pull another Roy Moore sh*t storm.

Personally, I don’t mind if flawed or maligned candidates such as Moore and Blankenship have people that hate them, it’s the treachery of the swamp led by the likes of McConnell that is the real danger. I know if the President had Moore or Blankenship with him in the US Senate, Trump would be golden. As I’ve posted before, Donald Trump is known for taking a load of sh*t and turning it into gold.

If Morrisey or Jenkins get the nod, I think Manchin wins. McConnell is good at destroying non-approved GOP candidates. He’s never been good at getting Trump supporters elected.

Why is this guy running?

Morissey is obviously running because he is a carpet bagging douche politician lawyer and the other guy is the same story except he's not a carpet bagger.

What is Blankenships stated reason for seeking office?

Any idea?

“Demonrats will vote in mass for Blacken$hit in the primary.”

and Blankenship will go on the victory in November and help GOP candidates across the country.

Obama declared war on coal, targeted conservative CEO Blankenship, sent inspector goons in with a mission to create a ruckus. They cut the oxygen in half and tried to blame the workers. When that didn’t work out, they railroaded Blankenship to prison who finally beat the fake charges.

See Lurkinanloomin part one post. Better yet here it is at the time Blankenship clears his name.

https://youtu.be/X8xu547cxGo?t=175

The other posters ranting against Blankenship have their butt fudge packed hard. They are not credible. The only credible concern is that the Manchin democrat machine and the McConnell treachery will torpedo Blankenship but WVA voters may prevent that because they know Blankenship is of their DNA; they bond to him because he knows his stuff regardless if he got railroaded like Dinesh D’Souza.

Trump is justifiably concerned. He can’t have a repeat of Roy Moore.

My take is that Jenkins, Morrisey ain’t got the right stuff in them. They will lose to Manchin. Morrisey has a glimmer of light but it’s not solid and it’s not bright. Jenkins, fuggedaboudit.

He has no chance of winning the election in Nov. , that’s why DemonRATS are supporting him.

In an interview with Roll Call last week, Blankenship said his campaign ad was not racist because in the ad “there’s no mention of a race.”

“There’s no race. Races are Negro, white caucasian, Hispanic, Asian. There’s no mention of a race. I’ve never used a race word,” Blankenship said to Roll Call.

This guy is obviously a Democrat plant.

Blankenship has always been about Blankenship. If he has ever done anything that did not advance his interests, I am not aware of it.

WV is a Red State and polling indicates that Blankenship is leading among the Mountain State.

Blankenship can win, he will win but for now the liberal media is going to make up lies about Blankenship’s past.

West Virginian’s are too smart for that.
