Democrats’ frightening embrace of socialism
washingtonpost ^ | 05/07/2018 | Ed Rogers

Speaking at an event in New York City last week, Hillary Clinton said something interesting about Democrats today and their lurch to the left. Clinton said being a capitalist “probably” hurt her when campaigning against democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in 2016. Think about that. Part of the reason so many Republicans are frozen like a deer in headlights when it comes to President Trump is the horror of thinking about Clinton as president. It is stunning to realize how in today’s Democratic Party, being a capitalist is something one must either apologize for or at least give qualified acceptance. Talk about nostalgia for the 1950s. It seems that socialism is making a comeback.

I think if Bill Clinton had been asked the same question Hillary was, he would have thought it was a softball and proceeded to give a valuable history lesson on the negative impact of socialism versus the global benefits of capitalism. Of course, Hillary Clinton’s instinct is to pander and hedge, but it is nevertheless revealing that she thought she had to do so to keep from alienating the socialists.

For those willing look up from their phone, its pretty easy to see that the slippery slope has become a cliff.

The objective of liberalism was best expressed by David Horowitz:

“Everything that is, must be destroyed.”

It seems that socialism is making a comeback.

Democrats have always embraced socialism, it's just that the media would never admit it. Our side has been correctly saying their policies are socialist for decades.

Hillary, like Bill, is first and foremost, a Clintonist. While more of a leftist than her husband. Socialism is a tool for her to use to gaining and maintaining wealth and power for herself and family.

Ideology is a distinctly secondary concern for her. Sanders supporters were Socialists first, who saw her as corrupt, and more importantly, not a Socialist true believer.

Capitalism produces all the things that socialists wish to “redistribute.”

Socialism produces nothing that socialsts wish to “redistribute.”

Socialims can only exist as a parasite of capitalism.

Parasites get larger over time and take over more and more of the host’s resources.

Once a parasite reaches critical mass, the host dies along with the parasite.

Case in point: Venezuela.

Democrats have always embraced socialism,

The reality is they embrace their perceived positives of socialism and have no concept of any negatives, OR ANY NET of the pros and cons.

Socialism means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

We need to be like Columbo. “now what exactly do you mean by socialism?”

CONSERVATIVE MEANS A LOT OF DIFFERENT THINGS TO A LOT OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALSO................

In spite of what they say, socialism and communism is NOT about fairness for the masses. It is a means to CONTROL a large number of citizens for the benefit of a few. It fits perfectly into Hillary’s dream of power and fabulous wealth.

Sad to say, but Socialism is where Democracy inevitably ends up.

The Founding Fathers never intended the USA to be a Democracy and, more and more, we are understanding why.

“It seems that socialism is making a comeback.”

Ed is as surprised by that as Stony is surprised that sex sells.

The rat party was infiltrated by communists in the early 1950’s. They switched to the label ‘progressive’ long ago; it sounds nice and good. Like ‘gay’.
