I smell a George Carlin “Hey Father” 11:59pm on the international dateline moment coming on here. I wonder if Howie Carr will adjust his pool to before the 31st or after.

I don’t know anything about the governor of Arizona.

Do we have any indication at all who he will appoint when McCain dies?

This reminds me of when Kennedy was sick and the media was asking “Who will fill Kennedy’s seat?” The answer is that the seat belongs to the people and not to any person. I would sooner see a seat sit vacant until a special election can be held rather than a governor making an appointment.

Didn’t Sarah Palin buy a home in Arizona?

She is the person the governor should name as McCain’s replacement.

She deserves it for the way McCain and his staff treated her.

The Governor, Doug Ducey, is running this November. He could appoint Sheriff Joe to serve in the Senate as as a place holder. That would allow Dr Kelli Ward’s vote not to be split and she might break establishment tool RINO Martha McSully away from the nomination. Sheriff Joe might pass before 2020 and then Doug can put himself in the Senate. It is a win-win for all conservative Republicans.

Martha has a whole lot of special PAC money that has come her way. He polling company for issues in the General is already conducting polling with questions phrased as if she has already won the primary.

Yep! That solves everything.

McCain is the poster boy for why the 17th amendment should be repealed.

There are a lot of such poster children, including Pennsylvania's very own village idiot Bob Casey, Jr.

Mark these words: they will put him on a heart/lung machine until the calendar flips. That SOB may be dead already, and they are just pumping air and fluids through the corpse.

I’d wait in a line 2 miles long to have a chance to piss on his grave.

“The Governor, Doug Ducey, is running this November. He could appoint Sheriff Joe to serve in the Senate as as a place holder.”

Then Ducey loses the election in November because very few voters in Arizona WANT ‘Sheriff Joe’...

Jan Brewer might be a good replacement appointment. She's been strong on immigration and education reform in Arizona, big Trump issues.

Let's not forget this:

I think the proper thing to do to show our respect for McCain is to do the following is as soon as he kicks the bucket:

  1. Flood Congress's lines saying that we no longer trust Lockheed Martin and
  2. we wish
    1. to have the company fully audited, and
    2. prosecuted for any and all misconduct, and
    3. to have all LM government contracts terminated.

I thought most here were pulling for him to hang on so we would have an appointment?

**************

You’ll have an appointment. The question remains as to when and how long will
the appointment be for. Chances are pretty good that there will be an election.
The question remains when will it be? If the vacancy occurs before May 31,
it could be in Nov. 2018. If after it will be in 2020. This is my understanding and
I could be wrong.

It's customary, that once a senator dies, the Senate will pass a bill giving the widow a big sum of $$$$. They give the rich, our money. Pure swamp.

If Governor Ducey values his job he will NOT appoint Cindy to fill McStain’s senate seat. There will be significant voter backlash if he does that.

Who does McStain think he is!?! He seems to think his senate seat is his own personal possession.

Sorry Johnny, you’re NOT royalty, you can’t bequeath your senate seat. That senate seat belongs to the people of Arizona. P.S.: Hurry up and die. All of us are getting really, really sick of you.

yes.

Arizona passed one of the strictest immigration laws a few years ago - one that mirrored Federal law.

But they still re-elected John “Open Borders” McCain.

So what do you want me to say?
