Or maybe a firearm overlooked in luggage not typically used for flying?

Easy to do. Someone I know very well walked into a hospital pharmacy ("gun free zone") recently with an LC9 on his hip. He didn't realize what he had done until he got home with his meds. Fortunately nobody noticed (I think :)
