Gina Haspel refused to say Wednesday during her confirmation hearing to be CIA director if she oversaw the waterboarding of terrorism suspect Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri in 2002.
Haspel reportedly became chief of base at a CIA black site in Thailand in October of that year. Nashiri arrived in November and was waterboarded at least three times before being transferred in December to a different facility, according to a Senate Intelligence Committee report.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who was influential in drafting an intelligence committee report partially released in 2014, asked Haspel to give a "yes or no" answer to whether she oversaw the waterboarding of Nashiri.

I agree with Ann Coulter’s comment that she should be confirmed only if the promises to waterboard more terrorist more often and with greater vigor.
I’m with Ann. I’m sick of these wussie Democrats caring more about terrorists than their own country. God forgive me for despising these people.
She should answer only after Brennan testifies as to why he instituted the policy, and Pelosi agreed to it.
She sounds awesome.
During the classified testimony she should tell Feinstein to f - off.
Doesn’t have to answer the question. National security. 10 Democrat senators up for reelection in red states. Will she/POTUS need one or 2 of them?
If she makes it out of committee, McCain won’t be there to vote against her. However I don’t know if the vote is of Senators present and voting or if it requires 51 to confirm.
While it does remain a fact, that some limp wristed, window licking, pants wetting, bleeding heart liberals find what Ms. Haspel did or didn't do horrible, the simple fact of the matter is Americans deserve to be safe and to be free from attack.
When Nahiri lead the attack on the USS COLE he truly lost sympathay from the vast majority of Americans that love our country and mourn the loss of American servicemen/women.
"F" Nahiri!!!
I dare the left try this case in the court of public opinion, I dare them....
Warner kept asking her to state unequivocally she would disobey a direct order from the President.
Ok, no more waterboarding. Instead we will play a litlle game of Delcos and testacles.
Americans held in North Vietnam, including McCain, would have welcomed waterboarding v. what they endured.
Waterboarding isn’t torture.
This woman is an American hero! I am sure she and her colleagues have been waterboarded at times to have the experience, to understand what that process involves.
If these people that sit on their high horse and question her on ridiculous things and insult her as an American think that they’re going to upset this strong woman they can forget it!!
I won’t use the language I really want to use here.... confirm her already. She’s a wonderful American Patriot and I don’t care what she does to get the answers out of people that want to kill us!
Yes, that inspires confidence.
I noiced that poor Triplett kid from Macon Mississippi
As black he is likely descended from the slaves from the sizable Triplett plantation near Columbus Miss
The only commissioned officer on that sad list
Salute
I saw the Hearing this morning. The Dems. didn’t lay a glove on her. The wicked Senator witch from California tried with her Yes or No questions, but she failed miserably.
Gina, use the Hillary answer she uses all the time: I don’t recall.
My mind is Jelloooo.

There it is! A bit of perspective is what has lacking in this whole discussion.
Making a terrorist “uncomfortable” - even to the point of fearing for their life is nothing like having your *fingernails* pulled off one by one - while fearing for your life.
