They were very careful not to use the word “treaty” - preferring to refer to it as “the deal”. How cute!

The folks at CATO are idiots.

The deal with the Mullahs of Tehran was not legally binding, and the Obama administration admitted as much in 2015 (Iranian officials never signed the accord anyway). It was only a mere political deal carrying no legally binding duty for any succeeding U.S. president to agree to it. Opponents of the deal made that clear to our “allies” when they went along with the deal - it was not a treaty, and the U.S. could revoke it’s participation in it as any time. Doing so was not a “violation” of the agreement, but a nullification of it as far as U.S. law is concerned.

Some of our European allies says they could no longer “rely on the U.S.” as far as their security is concerned. Actually it is the people of the states whose leaders complained who can no loner rely on their leaders for their security, as their national interests are given up for treasonous multicultural geopolitical correctness. Their leaders think they must appease everyone in the world except their own people.
