Music superstar Kanye West received some Thomas Sowell quotes via a direct message from someone and then published them on his Twitter feed.

Though currently retired, or at least semi-retired, Sowell is well-known conservative intellectual, an eloquent and informed writer and academic on culture, economics, race, and the welfare state. Sowell also happens to be a black man.

If it causes one person actually to read a Thomas Sowell book (or a dozen Thomas Sowell books), wonderful!

I still say Kanye is a douche-wagon.

I am not sure where this enlightenment is coming from. But I do have to give him some props for going his own intellectual direction against the sloggy flowing quagmire of ignorance and stupidity that is the liberal left.

He should write a book about how he found is intellectual way and escaped the intellectual sewer while confined in his liberal elite bubble. I might buy it.

You didn’t wait for Kanye West to notice Dr. Sowell, who is America’s greatest living intellectual, bar none.

Sowell is well-known conservative intellectual, an eloquent and informed writer and academic on culture, economics, race, and the welfare state.

I have very little interest in music superstar Kanye West but I have great interest in what Thomas Sowell says.

I don't know if America recognizes National Treasures but if so then I salute Thomas Sowell as a National Treasure.

An interesting research is discovering why portions of the black community considers someone I have great respect for an Uncle Tom.

My only regret with Sowell is the way he trashed Trump during the 2016 compaign, comparing him to Mussolini and Hitler as I recall.

I doubt if Kanye is going to do anything conventional, such as write a book.

President Trump doesn’t do anything conventional either.

Go Kanye! Like him or not, rap music has always been about rebellion, and who better to get through to the next generation of black men that they are being used as tools by the democrat party. If they are not allowed to have different opinions, then their opinions are not their own. They belong to some lily-white, silver-spoon billionaire demogogue.

I’m very encouraged regarding the great awakening of black American community.

We are all Americans...not Irish American, German American, Latin American or African American.

Those labels are a construct of the socialist left. Sure, we should understand where are roots lead, but first and foremost, we should label ourselves as AMERICANS.

In this we will find unity.

“My only regret with Sowell is the way he trashed Trump during the 2016 compaign”

Exactly. He lost much credibility the way he posed as an expert and a deep thinker trashing Trump before the elections. I was like, uh oh, if he can be so wrong about Trump, what about the rest of his writings, isn’t he finally just another smooth talker detached from realities?

Trump and globull warming are perfect BS detectors, they can bust fake experts and phonies in just one sentence.
Besides, I will never forgive Sowell for giving ammunition to anti-Trumpers, left and right.

Wow! Thomas Sowell is a national treasure, a beacon of wisdom in everything that he writes. It is all for the good that Kanye is promoting him.
