Telling Russia special counsel Robert Mueller to wrap up his investigation is not up to Vice President Mike Pence, says Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
"That's not Vice President Pence's decision to make," Graham told CNN on Thursday. "I'm sure Mr. Mueller will wrap it up when it gets time to wrap it up."
Earlier in the day, Pence told NBC that a year into Mueller's inquiry, during which the administration has provided more than 1 million documents, it would be "in the interest of the country I think it’s time to wrap it up."
“And I would very respectfully encourage the special counsel and his team to bring their work to conclusion," Pence added.
Mueller's team is looking into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. President Trump has repeatedly assailed the probe as a "witch hunt."
"The only thing I can say is I haven't seen any evidence of collusion," said Graham, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is also looking into Russian interference. "Mr. Mueller has a good reputation. We'll see what his report says and where he goes, but in the system you can't have the people being investigated tell you to wrap it up."
Lindsey Graham can always be counted on to play the role of France.

It’s hard to know what motivates Graham.
And I probably don’t want to know for real.
Graham is apparently correct, it is dark state which will decide what is law and who is allowed to govern in DC.
That is why I was deeply suspicious when he put up a repeal Obama-care bill in the Senate.
I suspected it was all a scam with him working a deal with McCain to kill it, the bill never gets passed and Lindsey fools the gullible into thinking that he is sometimes on our side.

I wish I had the opportunity to NOT vote for Lindsey Graham for any government office. I doubt he was on the Ohio primary ballot when he ran for president. What a joke that was.
