John McCain was the single greatest political leader of our time when he was one of many candidate for the republican nomination in 2008. Once he was nominated, of course, he was a nasty, mean-spirited, hateful warmonger. Now that it’s politically expedient for the accepted narrative against today’s nasty, mean-spirited, hateful warmonger, John McCain is again the single greatest political leader of our time.
The media have been compulsive liars for decades. #FakeNews is not new; only the label is new.
Torture worked on JM. The UCMJ (or other regulations) requires that a POW give only his name, rank and Id #. He gave more than that per the articles. Confessing to non crimes gives enemy propaganda value. Don’t know if he gave up useful intel. His “claim to fame” is that he refused parole and stayed with his men in captivity until the end. Very honorable and deserving of recognition. Been through SERE training. Not going to be a hero, would not likely been able to handle the real deal.
