Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
LOL! What an ADORABLE pile of lil kittehs! Just precious!
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
Here's a pic of me from 1978-79:
Howdy, LUV.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
You really didn’t need to share your heat with us, y’know. LOL
Howdy, radu! So far the weekend’s been great in spite of the heat. I just try to stay out of it. LOL!
You mean....you don’t want me to share??? It was “only” 98 today after a high of 102 yesterday. Blech!
Did you have a good evening with your friends? Hope the music was hot and the drinks were cold! :)
Neat that your Army buddy found you and got in touch. Nice to run up on old friends and catch up on how things have gone over the years.
Lookitchoo in that pic! Lookin’ right snazzy!
Yikes! No wonder you’re trying to scoot that hot weather up here! LOL! That’s too hot!
It was 89 here and will be even hotter tomorrow and Monday.
The area in the museum where I work doesn’t have AC so it was a little rough today. Not as hot as it was outside but still too warm to be comfortable. It was still a good day.
Tomorrow, my lil hiney is staying IN DA HOUSE!
Yes, we had a nice time last night. They’ve had better bands but the one last night was ok.
Yes, I’m not a happy camper when it gets this hot. It’s actually depressing. However, when I checked once, our humidity was 14%, so that made it seem cooler when a breeze blew.
89 there with your high humidity must have been oppressive, especially inside! I hope there are fans to help cool things a bit. Yeesh!
I don’t like it this hot either. It seems worse because we really didn’t have Spring this year and didn’t get to gradually get used to warmer temps. The heat just hit like a ton of bricks.
Yes, there are fans stirring the air so it wasn’t too bad in there. I did ok until I hauled the uniforms I’d cleaned and covered with garment bags upstairs. Several trips up and down and I was soaked when I got through.
It’s supposed to cool off a little by next weekend but there’ll be rain. That stinks because the museum has a military vehicle show and swap meet planned for next weekend. Rain will mess those plans up. :-(
Happy Mothers day eve
Awwww...rats! Couldn’t it rain some other weekend so they can have that show. Sounds like it’ll be awesome! But...when did the military let a bit of rain keep them from their appointed rounds.
Just sayin’......... :)
True dat.
But when you have your vehicles on display, you want spectators to come out to look at them.
And those folks who have stuff in the swap meet want customers.
THEY’RE the ones who’ll not be so hot on getting out in the rain.
There’s a system brewing up in the Gulf that’s supposed to give us decent rain chances from Tuesday on. Maybe it won’t pan out as they expect and the weather will be nice next weekend. Just have to wait and see what happens.
RAIN...one of those mixed blessings. Love it but darn! Why couldn’t it wait till the Meet and Swap is all over! It looked like it might rain here for a bit, but no. It evaporated before it got here. Bah!
Can you tell that the dry + the heat has me crabby? :)
I love that scripture. Thanks for a beautiful thread, Kathy! (((hugs)))
We could use a little rain but the chances are just low enough each day, we’ll get missed quite a bit. It’s going to be muggy more than anything. July/August type weather. UGH
Bummer you had rain close by but it didn’t hold up long enough to give y’all some relief. :-(
What a cool day of fun. Who’s the best shot?
Good evening, radu....no rain. They say maybe late afternoon/evening on Sunday.
Did you get a lot accomplished at the museum?
Beautiful song, Kartographer. Thank you.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
