Sounds like Ms Chai, in short shorts, was intending to sway the prof away from the content of her thesis. She got called on it and decided to take it to the limit — videoing the incident and removing the short shorts.
Sounds like she was setting this up so as to have grounds to complain, if she didn’t like the grade she got.

Observation: Snowflakes who trade on their ethnicity want to have it both ways. They want to beat others with the culture stick for wearing clothes they think they shouldn’t be allowed to, while being themselves free to wear as little or no clothing at all and be celebrated as heroes for “defying the social patriarchy” or whatever.
