Democrats Are a No-Show for Jerusalem Embassy Move

Four U.S. Senators addressed members of the press at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on Monday morning, hours before the official relocation of the U.S. embassy — and all four were Republicans. Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), Dean Heller (R-NV), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Mike Lee (R-UT) made the trip, along with ten Republican U.S. Representatives — but not one Democrat joined the U.S. delegation for the embassy event.

Only former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) — who was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000 before being rejected by his party in 2006 for his support of the Iraq War — came to Jerusalem to join in the festivities.

Two journalists asked the Republican Senators why no Democrats had come.

Sen. Cruz said: “That is a sad, sad manifestation — I wish we had every member of Congress here … every member of Congress had the option before them to come.”

Sen. Graham said that no one, Republican or Democrat, had been specifically invited to the ceremony — they simply chose to come or they did not. And he noted that only Republicans had come of their own volition.

“It’s not for me to tell you what that says,” Graham said. “It hurts me.

““So, dems are anti-Semites?”
Why, yes indeed they are.

And that includes a number of prominent Jewish politicians. Anti-Jewish and anti-Christian policies have become a very significant feature of the Democrats in recent decades.”

Yes, it seems to me that “God’s Chosen People,” have, in large measure, at least here in the United States, forsaken “Their God” for Secular Progressivism or Marxism. When I look at Israel, I marvel at their fortitude and adherence to maintaining their religious heritage. That practice seems totally lacking with American Jewry.

Drudge continuing to embarrass himself with the daily trashing of Cruz. Drudge is blinded by his love for the NYC Values candidate.

The circular firing squad is particularly bad this year, and sadly Drudge is a major player.

>>>And YES, we do want, need and deserve a WALL as promised.

Mr. Crusader, If your Ted Cruz lived in the WH there would be no talk of any wall ever to be built.

Not a lousy ten foot wall or one foot wall, or even one inch wall along our border.

Only one Republican went of their own volition, according to Graham. Lots of signaling going on.

Ted Cruz himself has been a strong and reliable supporter of President Trump since the inauguration - one of the few there today for the embassy opening in Jerusalem.

The primary seems to be water under the bridge between Trump and Cruz - just business, nothing personal.

I was a Cruz supporter right up to the time Trump was the Republican nominee - I have been behind Trump 100% since then.
Trump is my president. 100%
