In a bygone age, during the days of Chief-of-Staff Reince Priebus Press Secretary Sean Spicer, President Donald Trump was someone very different someone who watched (gasp!) CNN and MSNBC.
At least, thats according to new reporting from New York Magazines Olivia Nuzzi, who writes that White House officials concocted a plan to keep the volatile president on track by changing his diet his television diet, that is.
Trump would reportedly work himself into a tizzy watching Morning Joe and New Day, tweeting all manner of disgruntled miscellany before an 11 A.M. briefing, in which he would review the slights of the morning in a furor and in great detail.
It got to the point that they were just like, We need to get him off these channels and onto Fox & Friends or else were going to be chasing down this crazy-train from MSNBC and CNN all day, a former White House official told New York.
Thats when Priebus and Spicer got involved. According to New York, the two would work in talking points to the morning briefing about how successful Fox News was and how it was the preferred network of his supporters, hoping that Trump would shift to watching solely that network on his own. It worked like a charm.
Trumps someone who loves praise more than he likes hate-watching Morning Joe, the former official said.
Naturally, a Fox binge will bring its own set of issues, and a current official said that When [Fox] cover[s] the smaller stories, if that gets the president riled up, then that becomes an issue and that whenever the president tweets, the office is in a mad scramble to find out as much information about that random topic as possible.
Were used to it in a lot of ways, so its part of our morning routine, the official added.
The former White House official framed it a little differently. [Its] a feedback loop [which puts the president] in a weird headspace. What ends up happening is Judge Jeanine or Hannity fill him up, and everyone on staff has to go and knock down all the fires they started.
Mediaite is the definition of fake news.
Yep.
BS
Time for the Yea, right, sure gif
“Judge Jeanine or Hannity fill him up, and everyone on staff has to go and knock down all the fires they started.
I like that feedback system, as long as knocking down fires means taking corrective action.
Fake news.
I’ll bet the same thing happened to him that happened to me.
Exposure to classified information made listening to the fake-news liars unpleasant in the extreme.
Maybe he even caught them lying about events to which he was an eyewitness. Maybe? Hell, almost certainly.
Fake, fake and more fake.
The president was a semi-regular on Fox & Friends for years.
Trump has listened to F&F for a long time.
He used to call the show once a week or so long before he ran for office.
I think Lori Klausitis was tricked too.
So CNNTimeLies and PMSLSD are upset that they cannot gaslight DJTrump anymore, waaaaaaaa
exactly! I don’t mind him talking to Hannity and Judge Janine AT ALL!
Back in the day LBJ had a 3 screen TV to watch CBS, NBC, & ABC at the same time. Trump or any future president would have to have the walls in the Oval office floor to ceiling to watch national and international news broadcasts.
If I am not mistaken, Trump has always been a F n F fan and would call into the show long before he was a candidate?
Media-lite indeed!
Yes. He called in every Monday morning.
BS news.
I think I made it half way through the 3rd paragraph. I deplore these Fake News rodents.
Also need a picture of a Peacock with a MAGA hat.
MS.NBC would go ballistic!!!
