Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Monday he will prosecute a Mexican woman charged with stealing an American citizens identity and then using it to cast ballots in three presidential election years.
Laura Janeth Garza was spotted after the American woman went to get a passport, only to have the State Department discover Ms. Garza had already gotten one in her identity. Federal officials alerted Texas, which conducted a probe and found Ms. Garza also illegally registered to vote and cast ballots in 2004, 2012 and 2016, Mr. Paxton said.
This case demonstrates my offices commitment to protecting the integrity of elections, the attorney general said in a statement announcing the prosecution.
She is being charged with two counts of illegal voting, both stemming from the 2016 election, according to indictments from Montgomery County, north of Houston.
If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison.

Not just voting but using a passport of a stolen identity.
Scofflaws are gonna scoff
Tip of the iceberg with stealth Leftist operatives helping all the way.
How Democrats win elections:
Prison then deportation. Seize her assets to defer costs. If she returns shoot her.
Lock her up!
Prosecute, incarcerate and deport.
This was NOT an act of love.
String her up for crime against the Republic
Stories like this make me imagine an opposite lottery, where something official happens to you that could have just as easily have happened to many, many other people, but you got unlucky. It reminds me of the Simon and Garfunkel concert in Central Park, NYC, when ONE person got busted for smoking pot. Out of 400,000 in the audience, with a substantial proportion getting high, this ONE guy is the token that shows New York’s Finest is on the job. He won the Opposite Lottery.
Yes, it is the tip of the iceberg.
They have to start prosecuting every single case of voter fraud and they have to crack down on people like Harris County Voter Registrar Ann Harris Bennett who assist vote fraud rather than try to prevent it.
Well, the good news is that she’s the only one whoever did that.
It would be terrible if a lot of other illegals did that, but fortunately that’s not the case.
My husband calls that buzzard luck, to which he claims some people are particularly prey. Hes never told me the origin of the phrase.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
The case is one of more extreme cases of possible voter fraud, and it comes at a time when the existence of the problem is hotly debated. President Trump has argued with scant evidence that the extent of fraudulent voting was perhaps 3 million votes in 2016.
only to have the State Department discover Ms. Garza had already gotten one in her identity.
Damn, I live in a good state. God bless Texas!
Wondering why the authorities won’t tell if identify theft is done mainly by illegal aliens.
Is it just me or anyone else getting tired of Brits and Wets interfering in our elections?
