Gina Haspel’s appearance last week before the Senate Intelligence Committee created a certain buzz but was hardly the biggest spy story in town. That prize belonged to the snoop the FBI had planted in the presidential campaign of Donald Trump. This was not a new story and veteran observers had been keeping close watch.
Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, Andrew McCarthy wrote in National Review, had been “dead-on accurate” in his testimony that the FBI had a spy inside the Trump campaign for the stretch run of the 2016 race. In his Senate testimony on August 22, 2017, Simpson explained that Steele had met with at least one FBI agent in Rome, and the FBI had intelligence from an internal Trump campaign source, a human source inside the Trump campaign.
This was an explosive revelation and, following the publication of his testimony on January 9, 2018, Simpson did his best to walk it back. The revelations are now the subject of the ongoing battle between the House Intelligence Committee and the DOJ. Kimberly Strassel of the Wall Street Journal has been keeping close track on that front.

It honestly doesn’t surprise me that they would spy on political campaigns, and perhaps even that they used moles. I’d even wonder if it hasn’t happened before.
What’s extremely corrupt about it is that they weaponized it for political purposes.

Trump needs to prosecute these crimes until conclusion. Adams was entirely correct when he stated "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
This country was manipulated by a conniving cabal of conspirators which allowed criminals to gain access to the halls of governance under the guise of fairness. If they escape penalty, they will merely return stronger and boiling with vengeance.
Is this the legacy Trump wants to leave for the country - and his own family? Or, does he want his name included with Washington & Lincoln, as the one who saved the republic and restored the rule of law?
It's a simple binary choice. One path leads to greatness, the other simply an 8 year deferral before tyranny returns.
What should disturb every American, is not the fact that the institutions of the CIA, NSA, and FBI are weaponized. They are weapons, after all. What should cause outrage among Americans is the fact that these weapons have been politicized and unleashed against We the People, who they are supposed to serve.
That is a great crime against We the People. The conspirators need to be drawn and quartered, and their heads placed on pikes. Anything less is not justice.
It wasn't Trump who put the corrupt insider globalist in office like Clinton, Bush and Obama. Trump is trying to save this country from those who supported these corrupt globalist, the same ones who are now suggesting that Trump better hurry up and save them if he wants to salvage his legacy...Gak
