Netanyahu and Erdogan have been trading accusations over the violence in Gaza. Israel has summoned the Turkish consul in Jerusalem after Ankara expelled the country's ambassador. The consul was told to return to Turkey "for consultations for a period of time".
After Netanyahu slammed the Turkish president as a "Hamas supporter" earlier in the day, the Turkish Foreign Ministry reportedly advised the Israeli envoy to Ankara to leave the country "for some time."
Earlier in the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Twitter as "one of the biggest supporters of Hamas," thus, responding to criticism over the protests in Gaza.

Turkey has certainly gone down hill over the last decade.
New tone in Israel’s attitude toward murderers and thug armies. Thanks to our President who often tells it like it is.
Turkey is not part of the peace process. Erdogan has been moving Turkey away from the West and into the world of Islamic fundamentalism. He has become a dictator. Unfortunately, the coup against him failed.
For some reason that strange middle name of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has always made me think that he must have a DOG in his ancestry.

That’s how I see it I’m sick of our Representatives treating Erdogan with kid gloves...they know he’s a wicked guy but they ‘fear’ doing much because he could flood Europe with all the refugees he’s hoarding and using as cannon fodder.
