Liberals seem to have a problem understanding the hypocrisy of their lives. It’s blatantly obvious to the logical

The road to serfdom ends in Seattle.

Why would Jeff Bezos want to live as a vassal servant to the greedy, tax-raising lords of the manor in Seattle when he could relocate Amazon to any other city and receive enormous tax breaks?

The power to tax is the power to destroy. But we know Jeff Bezos doesn’t understand that or he’d be a conservative.

Told my husband last night, never again am I going to set foot in that city. The homeless are taking over and that idiot Sawant on the city council should be thrown out of the country. We went to see Gillian Welch at the Pantages last October (one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to) and the prices for dinner were outrageous, bums everywhere, etc. I felt very nervous without my gun. Don’t care if my favorite artists put on a free show. Ain’t happening. Screw Seattle. Plenty of other very enjoyable areas/venues around the sound.

Communists, fascists, and socialists all fighting over who gets to ride in the back of the shiny black limousines.

Such is life in the people’s democratic republic of seattle.

Outdated news ... this was before the vote. After the vote with the scaled back tax, Amazon resumed planning.

Old news. Seattle passed the tax, though smaller than proposed. Amazon now moving ahead with construction plans, regardless.

Like Starbucks, Amazon does not pay the extortionist taxes created by delusional little people with enormous ideas about how to get to all our wallets with a no-limit appetite for creative spending..

I no longer do business with Starbucks.
Enough said...

There is no such thing as a temporary tax with these criminals,
Nor a minuscule tax which doesn't become enormous plain robbery.

Consumers can be creative too.

And $250 is the amount for a 26 cent an hour “fee” for a full-time employee which was mentioned in the article - they must have capped it so it doesn’t go above $250 ... see how much money they saved the businesses by not gouging them under the original construct? (That’s probably they way they present it....)

Those businesses would be charged 26 cents per hour per employee up to $500 maximum per employee per year. Amazon would pay more than $20 million under the proposal, according to the Associated Press.

...

$20 million is a rounding error for Amazon.
