Democrats should stop trying to win over white Republican voters, according to several prominent liberal writers.
That was the point of a column Washington Post writer Paul Waldman wrote on Tuesday, which liberal journalists approvingly circulated on social media, adding their agreement.
Waldman blamed Fox News and conservative media for the fact blue-collar Trump voters don’t vote Democrat.
“In the endless search for the magic key that Democrats can use to unlock the hearts of white people who vote Republican, the hot new candidate is ‘respect,'” Waldman snarked. “If only they cast off their snooty liberal elitism and show respect to people who voted for [President] Donald Trump, Democrats can win them over and take back Congress and the White House.”
The problem isn’t Democrats, according to Waldman — it’s that Trump voters are too uninformed to vote for Democrats.
“The right has a gigantic media apparatus that is devoted to convincing people that liberals disrespect them, plus a political party whose leaders all understand that that idea is key to their political project and so join in the chorus at every opportunity,” he argued.
Waldman advised Democrats to keep in mind “that white Republicans are not going to vote for you anyway, and their votes are no more valuable or virtuous than the votes of any other American.”
The Republican base “seems too dumb to realize that even with Donald Trump rampaging through the White House, ‘the establishment’ is doing just fine, if you define it as the economic elite that so skillfully works the system in Washington no matter how dysfunctional things get,” he argued in an April 18 column. “In fact, the establishment has never had it better.”
Waldman’s latest column dismissing Trump voters was a hit among liberal writers and pundits on social media.

LOL. I have a bachelor's degree, a law degree and a masters in law degree, all from national universities, and have practiced business and tax law for 35 years. I also spend a couple of hours a day studying politics. Yet I am too uninformed to vote for Democrats. Makes perfect sense.
Well, they have state U degrees in gender studies, clearly they are much better educated.

Regardless of what they think of white people, and even if someday whites in America become a minority, whites still remain and will be the largest voting block of all.
Write us off to your peril, democrats.
You can have a coalition of everyone else combined and still not come to our numbers.
And all we have to do is pull off a small amount of your non-white constituents and it’s over for you in elections.

I love how they do not get it.
There are people who will never vote for the baby killing party.
Thre are people who will never vote for communists.
Or global warming liars.
Or racists that push racism for minorities and lie only whites can be racists.
Or that make all men out to be inherent racists and give women special treatment while claiming they are equal and better.
Or that demand race and gender quotas for women and minorities, but not whites or men, like skin color and sex organs automatically make someone better for a spot than experience and intelligence and skills and abilities.
Or voting for a party that - because they are socialists - routinely show their philosphy is the end justifies the means.
Or that think illegal immigration is wonderful and welcome the destruction that illegals bring to actual citizens of the country, including car accidents, rape, murder, exhausting social programs for citizens, shuting down er’s, etc.
Many people will just never vote for people from this political party because of these and other reasons. You will never convince these people to ever vote democrat.

For sure, if Trump continues to keep the majority of white votes and skims just a few percentage points from the Hispanics, blacks and Asians the democrats never win again. The democrats method might be a winning model in about 20-30 yrs.
It looks like their new thing is stupid-shaming Trump supporters. Any utterance in support, or wearing a MAGA hat, etc, is an admission of having a low IQ.

To Leftists, the white penis is the source of all evil in the world. The only white people they deem acceptable (yes even if they themselves are white) are those supposedly “enlightened” Leftists in their socialist enclaves. I really think what we have witnessed is a realignment. The Democrats have thrown away the White working class vote for good.
