Clean your apartment out of perishables, valuables and necessities and have everything set up beforehand so you have a different place to go where no one knows who you are.

Agree with what you said. He’s got to move away from the old neighborhood.
And it is sad to hear what happens with some lottery winners.
Some mismanage money or are taken advantage of by con men.
Others find their relationships to family and friends have changed. People want to borrow money, and/or want you to buy them new cars, or meet other unexpected expenses. Then if you don’t do that for them, you are the bad guy in their eyes.
Life changes after winning such lottery prizes. And not all is for the best, sad to say.
