After high school, Shak graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and became a decorated pilot flying combat missions in Desert Storm and missions all over the world. Fighter pilots have ego issues with it, but the truth of the matter is that transport aircrews do go in harm’s way. Fighter pilots have ego issues with most everybody and everything.
I worked with Shak a few years ago. If I recall correctly, he flew KC-135 refueling planes during Desert Storm. Great guy. I’d vote for him if I lived there.
