Attorneys for three Democratic National Committee hack victims urged a federal judge Thursday to allow a new investigation of possible Trump campaign collusion with Russia, alleging a "conspiracy" involving President Trump's associates.

U.S. District Judge Ellen Huvelle considered the case on the first anniversary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, which is looking into the same matter.

The hearing, which took place in the same building where Mueller has witnesses testify to a grand jury, lasted nearly four hours, with the judge pressing each side on complicated jurisdictional and case law issues. The hearing began with about three dozen people in the audience. Most left by the end, surprised by the duration.

How do they expect a new investigation into the hacking of their emails to take place, if they refuse to turn over the alleged hacked servers?

True. But it’s rather stupid to ask for a new investigation when any evidence there may have been was destroyed by the same people seeking the new investigation.

They’re setting up a legal environment with a case number and a judgment. The sole matter is the investigation into the nonexistent. You cannot prove a negative. Res indicate prevents further litigation after order finds nothing was found.

Maybe the DNC would have a better chance of getting to the bottom of this matter if they questioned Seth Rich. Oh wait,he was murdered. Better to muddle the investigation with Trump Russia collusion.

Precisely. Be careful what you wish for.

I hops the judge allows it to go forward. As soon as the President’s lawyers subpoena the serves for an independent forensic investigation, the suits will be withdrawn and it will not even make the news.

Actually, because the DNC refused to turn over their server for examination by the FBI, the courts should simply say, "Sorry, you refused to cooperate with law enforcement, and there is no longer any admissible evidence."

She permits pre-trial discovery, which is a privately conducted investigation described in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, which govern civil lawsuits in federal court.
