The problem here is that this has become a complicated story (maybe intentionally). Did the Russians conspire to convince people to vote a certain way? If they did...are we talking about more than the number of dead people that vote in each election? Did McCain involve himself into a fake fact campaign? Did McCain even know any facts? Did two fake intellectual/fake GOP consultants insert something into reality from Europe?
Did someone burrow themselves into the Trump campaign? Did it even matter?
Was Hillary really sick at the 9-11 Memorial? Did the FBI and DoJ create a fake conspiracy which led onto a fraudulent investigation?
The real issue: did Obama politicize the DOJ, FBI, CIA, IRS to attack innocent citizens who had a political viewpoint he did not like?
The answer is a resounding yes.

They tried to frame the newly elected President for the crime of treason.
People have to be imprisoned, because these crimes are the worst in the history of our elections.

McCain is a bit player and likely a useful idiot in all of this. The fact that his pettiness drove him to obtain a copy of the Steele dossier was just icing on the cake for the criminals in the government.

Who cares the FBI was spying on an American citizen with no criminal record and who was duly elected by a major political party to run for president of the United States.
We were very close to becoming a technology driven police state. Where computers do the dirty work and the FBI processes the fallout. That should scare you. The fact the FBI hasn't been shut down at this point should scare you.
