Classifying frog calls for fighting climate change

The sounds of amphibians are altered by the increase in ambient temperature, which, in addition to interfering with reproductive behaviour, serves as an indicator of global warming. Researchers at the University of Seville have used artificial intelligence to create an automatic classifier of the thousands of frog and toad sounds that can be recorded in a natural environment.

One of the consequences of climate change is its impact on the physiological functions of animals, such as frogs and toads. Their mating calls, which play a crucial role in the sexual selection and reproduction of these amphibians, are also affected by the increase in ambient temperature.

Taking into account this phenomenon, the analysis and classification of the sounds produced by certain species of amphibians and other animals have turned out to be a powerful indicator of temperature fluctuations and, therefore, of the existence and evolution of global warming.

It might be an indicator of temperature fluctuations,
but it doesn’t necessarily prove the existence or evolution
of global warming.

Just like evolution, the theory is assumed true and then everything else is framed within that assumption.

Could it be that vibrations at certain frequencies produce heat causing temps to go up? Oh noes..............

No they don’t. They indicate WEATHER.

And the author should learn English.

That isn’t how TToE is defined nor framed.

AGW is NOT science as it meets zero criteria for a Scientific Theory. TToE meets them all.

They are not analogous and the comparison should not be made.

Some frogs were hanging out on my above ground pool deck I think they were contemplating the reproductive jazz.

Got tired of listening to their love song and introduced them to my badminton racket.

Nice and quiet.

I remember the story of the now extinct golden toad which was once abundant in the costa rican forests of monte verde (a mecca for eco hipsters). Sightings of the golden toad started to become more and more rare, and the world eco hipsters began to become very concerned that global warming was killing the toads. Soon eco hipsters from all over the world began pilgrimages to monte verde to study the effects of global warming on the golden toad. More and more people with more and more equipment were trudging all over the forest in search of the poor golden toad no doubt frying their in the tropical cloud forest.

Eventually, the last toad was spotted, and sadly the golden toad was pronounced extinct.

Post mortem on the golden toads showed that global warming was not the cause of the toads demise. The cause was a fungus carried on the soles of the boots and spread all across the previously pristine cloud forest by hordes of eco hipster scientists looking to prove the toads were dying of global warming

They are not analogous and the comparison should not be made.

They are exactly the same accept that climate change is a spinoff of evolution. Evolution is a religion, climate change is a work involved in the religion of evolution.
