NRA's Dana Loesch: The media needs to stop creating 'monsters' who commit mass shootings......
washingtonexaminer. ^ | 5/19/2018 | Katie Leach

Posted on 05/19/2018 1:02:36 PM PDT by caww

"The media has got to stop creating more of these monsters by oversaturation," Loesch said on NRATV Friday, just hours after a deadly shooting at Santa Fe High School claimed 10 lives.

"I’m not saying don’t responsibly report on things as they happen," she continued. "Look, I understand it. But constantly showing the image of the murderer, constantly saying their name is completely unnecessary."

Loesch argued that the names of shooters are often widely known because of media reporting or social media posts, and could prove tempting for would-be shooters looking for notoriety. She talked of a study that showed that all mass shooters were in someway motivated by the Columbine massacre.

Remove all guns from movies, TV and video games. Must be done now.

"...the media needs to stop creating monsters..."

Totally and completely agree with Dana Loesch.
There is a way to report news without “memorializing” these dirtbags.

Unfortunately..., there has always been an "If it bleeds it leads" mantra in media! Wackos tune in to the negative news and see it as their opportunity to achieve "Fame" (Infamy). Even now there are those fantasizing about "Killing More and Being Famous". Don't expect our media to accept ANY RESPONSIBILITY!

Dana, you are on the trail, but you have to to go deeper and ask yourself who is into mind control and who controls the MSM?

The Media play up the mass school shootings far more than other, equally tragic mass killings.

They do so because it promotes their gun control agenda, and they know it.

They are perfectly willing to have more kids die to push their agenda.

The copycat effect is well documented.

Dear Dana,

Continuous, dramatic reporting on these monsters are the only thing that gives the media ghouls semi-decent ratings and a chance to push their gun ban propaganda.

They don't want them to stop.

The MSM is so busy profiling NRA members they are forgetting the real profiling target should be the shooters, you know high school teenagers.

Finally, someone with a public voice speaks the truth.

I have been saying this after every major event like this.

The 24/7 media coverage is encouraging and setting up the next shooter who sees it as their way to become famous and recognized.

The local officials don’t help by holding multiple briefings every other hour which fuel the frenzy.

If the next idiot sets off the fire alarms and then tosses multiple Molotov cocktails down the hallways to kill dozens then what will be their focus and meme then? No guns, no coverage?

In Korean TV they blur out all knife blades used in violence but not guns or swords.

Well, if they removed smoking from movies because it had an influence...

How about making it a law when Hollywood releases another Matt Damon or DeNiro flick where they play a hero with a gun, that after they roll the credits they have to display clips of all the anti-gun statements they’ve made in the previous 10 years?

Guns have always been an integral part of American culture. Crazies used to have different outlets to vent their insanity.

Now due to the antisocial nature of our culture and parents doing their careers instead of raising their kids, there are more manic-depressive crazies, and the media, the media, has successfully implanted school shootings into our collective consciousness, so that when a crazy wants to lash out, his first thought is to shoot somewhere up.

Why not just remove all guns from society while you’re at it?

How about simply never mentioning their name? Assign a number to them..... if folks really want to know their name, they can go to some publically accessible website to get it so it will in fact be available. However, never give notoriety to the killer by having his/her name repeated anywhere else.

Keep giving them goals and notoriety and they will keep coming out of the woodwork. I strongly agree with the Russian approach.......just ignore them.

It’s obvious the MSM has been trying to stimulate nuts going off. They’re complicit and should be charged with murder as accessories.
