If anything is a lead-pipe cinch in American politics, it's that the party out of power in Washington, DC always cleans up in the midterm elections—particularly the first midterm. If you Google "midterm" and "Democrats" right now, you'll be bombarded with the phrases #BlueWave, "Blue Tsunami" and "That blue supervillain guy from the new Avengers movie."

With Trump's weak approval ratings and the history of off-year partisan backlash, "Speaker Nancy Pelosi" is a done deal. Except, in the era of Trump, there apparently are no "done deals."

When even See BS News is skeptical of the blue wave, you know it may not happen.

Whatever CBS has to say is steeped in their leftist agenda. I wouldn’t ask for the time of day.

So, there was some sort of Dem talking head on the radio the other morning. Said that their platform was going to be to increase immigration, extend Obamacare, and get rid of Trumps tax cuts.

Sounded like a good idea to me. Dems might not get in power for another generation with a plan like that.

I think we are looking at a colossal wipe out if the GOP is not completely stupid. It has been given all the ammunition it needs. Hit Illegalism hard and often. Make the fools defend MS-13 some more.

Especially as the Republicans are not the "Party in Power," not really.More people are beginning to see that the Democrats are still the party in control of the Bureaucracy which for the most part, is the government.

Not quite. Trump knows the 'done deals.'

The only way there will be a blue wave is if the GOP passes an amnesty.

Which many of them want to do.

Richard Baris of People’s Pundit Daily, simply the best polling operation, says 35 seats are truly contested. Ds must win 24. Lesko appears safe, so possibly 25 now.

The GOP head of the House reelection committee said their polling showed of nine seats they had concern about, GOP led in eight.

I think, by October, it will be possible-—not easy, given PA’s redistricting stealing four seats-—for the GOP to actually gain one or two.

You assume that the RNC and GOP want to win and retain the majority. There is quite a bit of evidence that they may not.

If the republicans keep the house and senate and maybe even increase it the media will have a complete breakdown. It may be enough of a shock to make them pull back on the nasty, crude Trump bashing

See BS

With Trump's weak approval ratings and the history of off-year partisan backlash

Rasmussen has Trump at 50%

Same time 8 years ago Rasmussen had The Won was at 48%

RCP had Obama at 48.3%
They have Trump at 43.6%

RCP uses an amalgamation of polls.
Where Rasmussen (typically is fairly accurate...and daily) is at 50%

CBS (Very biased and 2 weeks old) is at 40%

First order of business in Harrisburg, PA in January 2019: The legislature impeaches the errant judicial thugs on the PA Supreme Court, restores the 2012-18 Congressional lines for the PA seats and Gov. Scott Wagner signs it into law and appoints new Conservative jurists to the bench.

But nowhere near enough of them to override a veto.

PA GOP does have 2/3s of the State Senate, so if they keep it and Wagner wins, why the hell not?

Cannot properly predict until the primary winners are in place. But so far a couple chosen Democrats may not be the best pick.
