The Latest Whopper -- The FBI Was Actually Trying to ‘Protect Trump’
American Thinker ^ | May 21, 2018 | Brian C.oondeph

Oh, what a tangled web we weave... when first we practice to deceive.”

This quote is attributed to Sir Walter Scott, a Scottish historian and novelist. Too bad he wasn’t available for a sermon at the royal wedding this past weekend, rather than social justice preacher Bishop Michael Curry. The House of Windsor certainly wove a tangled web over the decades.

The Deep State has been weaving its own tangled web of Russian collusion for the past two years beginning with Russia supposedly hacking the 2016 election, creating the electoral outcome they desired. It has since morphed into Trump colluding with the Russians, despite zero proof on the one-year anniversary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s free-for-all investigation by his merry band of partisan Democrats.

It’s now to the point that Mueller’s team is investigating anyone in Trump’s circle who ever ate a bowl of borscht or drank a sip of Russian vodka. At a time when this couldn’t get any more ridiculous, look no further than the Washington Post for a version of “can you top this?”

A few days ago, the WaPo published an opinion piece entitled, “The FBI didn’t use an informant to go after Trump. They used one to protect him.”

Sure, they did. I can’t wait to read from the WaPo how Iran wants nukes to “protect” Israel or that that sanctuary cities are for the “protection” of legal, law-abiding residents of those cities.

The Trump piece was written by Asha Rangappa, a former FBI agent and Yale graduate. That’s two strikes against her already. The Clintons are Yale graduates and James Comey is a former FBI agent. I rest my case.

And here I had thought that Hillary was a shoo-in for the 2018 Liars’ Club award.

I completely believe it you can see how much love and respect Comey, Brennan, and Clapper have for Trump.

Apparently they didn’t want to “protect” Hillary by infiltrating spies into her campaign. I wonder why she’s not complaining?

When law enforcement feels that someone is the target of a threat, they will brief the person explaining the nature of the threat and explain how law enforcement proposes to handle the threat.

There is no such thing as "secret protection".

They’re running scared now. That narrative is a political Hail Mary and would not be put out there unless they’re really desperate to cover up the truth! Even the TrumpHating left and the NeverTrumpers on the right would laugh at the assertion the FBI would be trying to “help” the president!

Yeah and OJ was trying to protect Ron and Nicole too when he stabbed them..since the Russian Collusion is dead in the water, and we all know that Obama had his cronies spy on Trump, this is the new narrative, they did it for his own good

“We had to destroy the city to save it.”
is now
“We had to attempt to destroy a presidential candidate in order to protect him.”

Does anybody else want to see traitors hanged? Because it would do two great things for the country (1) shut these people up, and (2) show there actually is some Justice.

“The charge is attempted murder... how do you plead?”
“But your honor, I had to try to kill him to protect him!”
Ultimate Theater of the Absurd.

Asha Rangappa maybe a former FBI agent and Yale graduate, but remains a shill and a traitor.

This whole Russian plot would of been stopped and prevented if that is where Rangappa wants to go. So the FBI allowed Russians to hack the election? There is no other premise going by what Rangappa suggests.

They just interviewed Aisha Rahgappa on CNN where she peddled the “protect” nonsense.

You near that justification from the mob. Illegal behavior isn’t another personal, its keeping you safe.

Presumably from the Russians. Then why the need for the Mueller probe if that was true?

Its BS and every criminal in the world said they did it for good reasons. Still a crime.

I saw this angle on CNN just a few minutes ago when I went for a drink (of water).

This liberal ex-FBI Indian woman... Anga Rash-something or other— was “knowingly” explaining this aspect of the FBI’s activity. They were there to protect Trump.

What a laugher, because if it were true, it would have been cleared up in his first few days of office. You wouldn’t have had Weasel Comey saying there was “some salacious” stuff out there while hiding what had and was still really going on.

Obviously, the Smartest Woman in the World didn’t need any “protection.” Only the dumb rube Trump warranted it.

That’s the lie even Comeystain tried to sell, if rumors about a peepee video got out it could tarnish his administration.

And yet Leftists did leak that smear and it had no impact.

That is so awesome!!!! What a great FBI!

Now, hand over the operational proposal and all emails and meeting notes that coordinated this, along with all approval memorandums and briefing slides at every level.

If they were trying to “protect him”, then why didn’t they inform him of this protection?

What’s there to hide?
