MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - Leaders of the Myrtle Beach Branch NAACP held a press conference Thursday morning to express their expectations and what they’ll be monitoring during the Memorial Day weekend bike fest.
A federal judge decided Wednesday that the City of Myrtle Beach and the police department could implement the 23-mile traffic loop over the holiday weekend. Judge Marvin Quattlebaum stated that the NAACP had to prove that stopping the 23-mile loop would benefit the public interest for their request to be granted.
"The court finds that the public interest is more likely served if the plaintiff’s motion for injunctive relief is denied," the document says.
Harley Week the week before doesn't have the traffic loop.

What is a traffic loop?
Police block off all other roads and the Motorcycles can only ride in a 23 mile loop.

One arrest was made in the case — almost 90 days later — of a suspected gang member. I can find no further information on his current status within the legal system; he may have been released.
The shootings happened at the Bermuda Sands hotel on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, and the police investigation remains open to this day.
Here comes trouble!
What if the bikers are trapped in the loop and can’t find their way off?
Maybe they can spend the time driving the loop thinking about why people don’t want large crowds of blacks hanging out in their cities.
