NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) -- Two people are in critical condition and a shooter is in custody after a shooting inside of Noblesville West Middle School.
Police are reporting that the situation has been contained. Police are on scene and a SWAT team is sweeping the building. The school is on lockdown. Officials are requesting more medical help on the scene.
One victim is a 13-year-old girl. One victim is an adult. Both victims are heading to IU Health Methodist hospital. Families have been notified.
One student told News 8 that he heard several shots fired but did not know if they were fired inside or outside of the building.
A teacher inside of the school said students are being moved to the high school. Some students are being kept in closets and being told that busses will take them to the high school.
A public information officer with Indiana State Police said they are "sending everyone."
"We have two that have been injured that have been taken to Methodist Hospital. I don't have any names. I don't have any updates on their statues," said Captain Dave Bursten with ISP.
The school sent a message to parents stating:
Shots have been reported at Noblesville West Middle School. Reports of one injury. Police are onsite and school is in lockdown. Standby for more info.

Solutions to stop these horrible incidents should have been immediately implemented after Columbine. Our elected officials are a disgrace, an absolute joke. Teachers should quietly pack heat. Don’t tell anyone, just bring your guns!
Why Fridays? I would have assumed Mondays
Perhaps the media is at fault for the increase in the number of school shootings by the reporting narratives -
- the shooters were bullied in school and this is how they dealt with it
- school shootings will result in increased anti-gun reporting in the press
- school shooters get their name and picture in the press
Media reporting has a way of producing copycats.
But, of course, I'm not.

If schedule attendance is to be mandatory, then hardening them with manned walkthrough metal detectors will h armed guards is also mandatory. After all, it’s for the he children.

Unfortunately no matter how many metal detectors etc...these kids today want the limelight and a story. ..and they’ll create it for whatever reason their lamebrain minds can devise. We see it all the time with ridiculous selfies and videos they put out there.
