A Kentucky Town Votes Against a Culture War
New York times feed to many other papers ^ | 5/27/2018 | Campbell Robertson

It was supposed to be one of the biggest political showdowns in Kentucky this fall: Kim Davis, the clerk of Rowan County, running against David Ermold, the gay man she denied a marriage license to three years ago. That moment, caught on camera, set off a red-hot culture war over the summer of 2015 in this quiet corner of Appalachia.

Since Mr. Ermold announced he was running for county clerk in December, he raised more than $200,000 from around the country and drew supporters far and wide. This was a campaign, he said in an interview before the primary, for a “happy ending” to the whole, loud episode, for “redemption and how our county will be remembered.”

But when the votes were counted on Tuesday night in the Democratic primary, the opportunity to face Ms. Davis, the Republican incumbent, in the November general election fell

olog-hai posted the announcement to FR. NYT posts the obituary with fake headline, fake news that is fed to many other papers. I saw it in Atlanta AJC.

75% of Democrat voters voted against gay marriage in this Democrat county (maybe formerly D). 100% of Republican voters voted against gay marriage and for the former Democrat recently converted to Republican.

How many Democrats will convert to Republican ... if someone reaches out to them to spread the message?

And the NYT and hundreds of papers it feeds, and radio and TV it feeds, run a headline that is totally false on its face.

Complete BS propaganda, as usual with the NYTimes: "Mr. Ermold . . . spent most of his life officially marginalized and in many ways left at risk."

Democrats who do not lie about their ideas and agenda do not win the majority of elections away from their liberal strongholds on the coasts.

This election is a prime example of why democrats are so devoted to bringing in enough new democrat voters to roll us under.

They encourage them to walk across the borders and they bring them in from shi-ite holes around the world.

Then they distribute them in towns and cities in red states to seed new democrat 'communities', hoping they will grow into large enough voting blocs to give democrats permanent control.

NYTimes: "Mr. Ermold . . . spent most of his life officially self marginalized..."

The supreme court once held that pornography (obscenity) could be interpreted differently in Salt Lake City than it might be in New York City. Community standards were applicable over a national standard. However the court allowed that in one's own home one had a right to view or read material which might satisfy your personal interests and not be in violation of the community standards. (Child pornography excluded.)

Why is homosexual conduct not considered within the constraints of this interpretation? Mr Ermold should run to San Francisco if he seeks to be county clerk.

He’s probably not radical enough for San Francisco.

This may or may not help you get past the NYT paywall:

In GA and many booming red state areas, the voters are coming from the rust-belt, not from some s-hole, unless you consider Chicago, Flint, Cleveland, ets to be s-holes.

In GA, the Democrats have finally, after several failures, figured out how to welcome and get the votes of the rust-belt refugees. All of these voters coming south come here for the jobs. Nobody is coming for the welfare as the welfare is better up north.

Republicans, Conservatives, Heritage, AFP, TeaParty ... nobody on our side is reaching out to the rust-belt refugees to ask the refugees why there are no jobs in the Blue cities they come from. But there are jobs in these Red areas.

In GA, the Dem primary vote increased by over 50,000 from 4 years ago while the Republican vote declined. Project that into November and GA cannot be called RED. It is Purple ... Purple due to the lack of smart strategy and tactics on the part of a complacent, over confident GA GOP.

(PS. I said the same thing 4 years ago and was proven wrong. But this time .... )

“Perhaps Mr. Caudill’s biggest appeal was that he only wants to talk about being county clerk.”

Mr. Ermold wanted to make it about his penis and where he places it.

The people said “no”.
