The Great Unmasking
american thinker ^ | 5/27/2018 | clarice feldman

I'm not talking about the unmasking of persons caught up in the Obama administration's illegal surveillance of everyone connected with Trump and his campaign. For that, there's been more than sufficient evidence. If you need more while we wait for the OIG reports, here are some excellent summaries: Sharyl Attkisson's timeline of the events and Mark Steyn's review:

As I think most persons paying attention now realize, the investigation into foreign interference with the 2016 election was created as a cover for domestic interference with the 2016 election. ... Brennan and Clapper and Comey and McCabe. They took tools designed to combat America's foreign enemies and used them against their own citizens and their political opposition. It was an intentional subversion of the electoral process conducted at the highest level by agencies with almost unlimited power. And, if they get away with it, they will do it again, and again and again. That's what Brennan's telling us on Twitter, and Clapper on "The View":

Yeah? So what? Whatcha gonna do about it?

Good question.

We know what they did was wrong ... but exactly what laws did they break which can be effectively prosecuted?

Can you go to jail for breaking the unmasking procedures?

“Shocking” that even Farrakhan recognizes the full scope of Trump’s tide raising the boats of all, including Blacks....and how the DOJ has been a consistent enemy of every American. Except the Swamp Dwellers.

***Can you go to jail for breaking the unmasking procedures?***

It is against federal law, so 'Yes, you can go to jail' if you aren't a Democrap!

I have an idea what to do for starters.

Dear Bitt, you made the request last week and it motivated me. We sit informing ourselves on FR as to what the real news in our nation is but mostly we just feel our hands are tied. We do our civic duty and expect our elected officials in DC to do right by us. And grumble and complain at the mess.

Bitt, you requested some of us to call our Congressmen last Thursday. So, I called. But I also took note of another post that same day where someone (I forget who) posted a list of Saul Alinsky’s methods used to bring in the socialist mess we’ve been dealing with. That poster suggested we take up Alinsky’s tactics to promote our own change.

Calling our Congresspeople on a regular, at least weekly, basis is a power that we Freepers have to be heard. Every Senator and Representative has staff resposible for tallying calls by topic from constituents. Almost all of us have a cell phone in arms reach. Direct numbers to representative’s offices are a web search away. We all have 2 Senators and a Representative. They all have multiple offices. We as Freepers need to get phone lines burning. And we need to address every topic of concern.

I’d like to ask everyone to call all their representatives this week. Tomorrow is Memorial Day. We commemorate those who gave their lives for our freedom. The least we can do in their memory is begin a habit of phone calls to preserve that same liberty.

"Can you go to jail for breaking the unmasking procedures?"

Yes. The rules for Executive Order 12333 were established so as to make sure that when American Citizens were identified through intercepted communications that their identities would be protected and they would be shielded from harassment. My opinion, is that the Obama Administration officials clearly thought that Hillary would win and that they could violate the law with impunity. They miscalculated immensely. They need to pay the penalty immensely.

Never said Calypso was a White man fan. Just that he may recognize that Pres. Trump has done more for ALL Americans than the purple lipped usurper.

People who violate this executive order can be subjected to fine and imprisonment, or both.

Technically it is illegal, but practically, it will be difficult to prosecute.

https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/did-obama-advisor-susan-rice-break-law-by-requesting-unmasking-of-trump-officials/

As was previously mentioned, normal procedure calls for any American’s name to be redacted.  Yet, there are certain circumstances that permit someone in Rice’s position to request that the names of Americans should NOT be redacted from certain intelligence reports (see Section 7.2 and 7.3).

Thus, a prosecutor would have to prove that Rice requested the unmasking solely for political purposes and Moss says that would be nearly impossible.

“It’s an issue of proof. If there is actual evidence that she asked for the unmasking to be done for exclusively political purposes, and none other, then yes, it would be in violation of USSID 18,” Moss said in email to LawNewz.

Then he continued, “But how are you going to prove that? Assuming Rice didn’t literally send her request with the language ‘I am doing this for only purely partisan political purposes and to harm Donald Trump’s political fortunes’, it’s virtually impossible to prove that politics had anything to do with her motivation.

Yes, they broke many laws. But I don't care all I want is for everyone to know how corrupt the "Dark One" really was. That is who they are protecting.
