Love Second City Cop. Told my sister about it when she moved out there last month. She could not believe the high taxes, high crime along with the police corruption. Thankfully she does not yet live in a high crime area. Just quality of life issues. We all know where that ends up!
Second City Cop had the over/under at 9 for the holiday weekend (but there’s still over a dozen hours to go, with most of them likely 90+ degrees!)

I'm frankly surprised the counts aren't much higher this weekend. The weather is warm and that typically brings out the "urban youths" which increases the number of shootings.
I had the over/under as being 65 for the weekend starting Friday Morning through Monday at midnight. Doesn't look like we're going to get that high but the day is yet young ....

I have 65 total shootings as the over/under, don't think it's going to get that high however I think 9 murders is going to be a tad low by the end of the day today. I'm thinking more along the lines of an even dozen.

Downtown during the week is fine, I work there three days a week and never had any problems in almost 30 years.
Well, there were two times attempted muggers got the snot kicked out of them by me, other than that, no problems. Once was in 1990 the last time was in 2009.
Beyond that, no problems at all.
Guess I'm glad my office is moving out to Naperville in a few weeks.
