Many who had been sleeping rough are from Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea... riot police have cleared more than 1,000 migrants and refugees from one of the largest makeshift camps in Paris, where they had been sleeping rough for months...More than 2,000 migrants and refugees had been sleeping on pavements under bridges and canals in northern Paris.

At about 6am, riot police arrived at the largest of the camps, where more than 1,700 people have been sleeping under a motorway bridge along canal Saint-Denis...The interior ministry said people would be housed in temporary shelter while their documents and administrative situation were checked....

Further camps along the canal and at Porte de la Chapelle, where hundreds 'more' are sleeping on the streets, are expected to be cleared in coming days.

Macron’s proposed immigration law, currently being examined by the French senate, seeks to criminalise illegal border crossing, and speed up the processes for asylum requests and expelling people unable to claim asylum.

While Paris battles their refugees Look what Hungary is doing....

The Hungarian government has submitted to parliament constitutional amendments and a new draft law further tightening the country’s laws on refugees and asylum-seekers. The legislation submitted Tuesday, seeks to prevent Hungary “from becoming an immigrant country.”

The bills, dubbed “Stop Soros” by the government, “”also”” target activities of civic groups, some supported by Hungarian-American financier George Soros, which give legal aid and other support to asylum-seekers.

Among other points, the Hungarian Constitution would be amended to say that “foreign populations cannot be settled in Hungary” and would place limits on who is eligible for asylum.

We have enough ‘animals’ in our country without adding further to the population.

Right-but maybe the damage is already done. How do you put the genie back in the bottle?

“This is an issue of dignity. Street camps should not exist in our country.”

• So what were you thinking when you ‘invited’ them into your country?

• Do you have any conception of ‘consequences’?

• Can you think PAST your nose?

• Have you seen a successfully assimilated and stable group of these people ANYWHERE else on earth?

We avoided this for the most part, though areas in our country have ‘refugee’ populations as such they’re not living in tents under bridges in mass...

This does not mean in our cities we do not have our own street people who have ‘chosen’ this as their life style. Especially in warm climate areas.

That’s how I see it....why would you swing wide open your borders and bring people in with an entirely different culture, language and view of life than the nation they’re entering. There is no good end to this as we see playing out throughout Europe.....and in the pockets we have here.

...where they had been sleeping rough for months...

For those who have never been near such as them, the stink is horrendous - those who have experienced it know what I am saying....the smell cloys and imbues itself into anything nearby...

Makes you also wonder what they were putting in that canal...perhaps using it as their own toilet facilities.
