President Trump on Wednesday said he regrets his decision to pick Jeff Sessions as attorney general, the latest sign of his growing anger over the Russia investigation.
Citing Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who said earlier on CBS that Trump “could have picked somebody else” to lead the Justice Department, the president responded, “I wish I did!”
Gowdy was asked whether Trump obstructed justice when he reportedly asked Sessions early last year to reverse his decision to rescue himself from the Russia probe, an interaction reported Tuesday by The New York Times.
In comments later quoted by Trump, Gowdy said Trump was merely “expressing frustration that Attorney General Sessions should have shared these reasons for recusal before he took the job, not afterward.”
“There are lots of really good lawyers in the country, he could have picked somebody else!” Trump wrote, quoting Gowdy.
The president has lashed out at a variety of targets as the Russia investigation has moved closer to his inner circle, including special counsel Robert Mueller and now Sessions.

sessions is the modern day version of john wilkes booth. A traitorous rat bastard that stabbed Trump in the back the very day he was confirmed. Now the rat bastard is going to testify that Trump obstructed justice, what a POS.
I wish you could correct that mistake, POTUS. but for some reason it doesn’t happen.
Mueller is currently investigating Trump for *thinking* about firing Sessions. You’d think it was The Onion but it’s the truth.
President Trump has been unlucky between having Mueller’s Probe, Sessions as AG, and the left wing press.
Most people wish he had picked someone else, maybe the country would have been spared the Russia Russia Russia business.
Does anyone think the Senate will confirm a new AG that will actually do what is necessary? The Left has the AG they want. Too many R Senators seem to be willing to do the Left’s bidding and I don’t know who he could pick that could be confirmed.
Once again Trump is 100% correct. If he had known where this was going, hindsight being 20/20 of course he would have wanted to pick someone else - this is NOT news.
Once the mid-terms are in the rear view mirror all three of the Stooges will be gone....
When are the Sessions shills going to come along and tell us this is all Kabuki?

The Only other thing I can think of is that is Trump attacks sessions, Liberal media defends sessions, MSM then tells us we should unconditionally believe Sessions, then sessions comes out with the AG report and the media looks liek fools as they try to double back on sessions....
But chances are Sessions is a Swamp critter.
President Trump can fire Sessions any time, night or day.
But the Left voted against Sessions because Sessions met with some Russians.
Remember that the Sessions’ hearings were all a set up.
He’s been threatened by his own party about firing Sessions.
Maybe the next AG will be chosen based on proven abilities, not campaign loyalty.
