I am in the San Fernando Valley and if you want to know the real reason for the genuine outrage SoCal Liberals and Hollywood has for Trump and his desire to enforce Immigration Law, you just need to go to the West Side of LA and pay7 close Attention.
There are Thousands and Thousands of pricey,upscale homes that are 100% maintained and cleaned by ILLEGAL ALIENS, the Majority of Construction Workers are Illegal Aliens, Restaurants,warehouses,stores,... the List is endless
But if Trump ever gets ICE to begin deportations here in Los Angeles, The ENTIRE Los Angeles Basin will be CLOSED and All those Proud Rich Liberals will have to Mow their own lawn and clean their own houses because there are NO American Citizens doing those jobs for the Slave Labor Wages they pay these people.
There is a new house being built on the lot next to us. The construction started in March with the placing of the septic tanks and drain field about two years after the lot was cleared of 50+ trees. No sewer system in this and many other subdivisions here. Bummer - but I digress.....
I find the whole process very interesting and in three months from laying the foundation to the roof going on, siding going on and today placing bricks on some of the exterior walls, there have been only Mexicans working on the house. I see black drivers of the trucks delivering building materials but absent that no black laborers. This is GA.
We lived in Southern CA for years before retiring and we saw the Mexicans in the strawberry fields in OC on our way to work mornings and on our way home every night. Back breaking work.
I’ve seen the guys here take shingles off a conveyer to the roof, placing them across their shoulders and walking on the roof ridge to put them down. I can’t believe the balance they have. This is not to praise the hiring of what are no doubt illegals but the hard work and efficiency at their jobs. There is no doubt - they are hard workers.

you miss the point. Once the slave-labor disappears, all those San Fernand folks will actually have to pay their help their much-championed $15/hr, plus workers comp, vacation, sick leave and all the other taxes that come with hiring someone legally. And there will be plenty of Americans who will clean their houses and mow their lawns, and carpenter their houses for that, over flipping burgers all day for the same rate. And there will be plenty of rich people who will pay, rather than suffer the humiliation of being seen in public much less risk ruining their manicure trimming their own iceberg rose bushes lining their epoxied pebble driveways.
