California is a de facto Mexican colony.
The state government protects Mexican nationals from US laws, but will not protect US citizens from Mexican nationals.
I was reminded by a FReeper a while ago to not be harsh to California as a number of good people from FR are behind enemy lines there (and FR itself is located there, of course). I have tried since then to be kinder and gentler. I agreed since I live in a People’s Republic myself and the total b.s. by the government here isn’t my fault.
