Google labeled Republican North Carolina state Sen. Trudy Wade as a bigot in its knowledge panel for the pro-Trump lawmaker.
According to Vice News Friday, searching for Wade on Google would show users an image of the state senator with BIGOT in bright red letters displayed at the bottom.
Wade is currently in a tough reelection battle. Its likely not helpful for her campaign to have the image as one of the first things voters would see if they Google her.
Google did not respond to Vices request for comment on the matter, but the tech giant did take down the image from Wades knowledge panel after the articles publication.

But today, the left seems to have more money and power. We have not had real capitalism in the US in this century or the last.
Google is a monopoly and Trump needs to bust it up.
A civil suit should be brought against Google.
No doubt it was an accident caused by info on wikipedia. ;-)
“Google is a monopoly and Trump needs to bust it up.”
Would that increase or decrease shareholder value?
Google is the real bigot. And it is controlled and owned by bigots.
Obviously knowledge panel is easily hackable by Wikipedia which the so called knowledge panel is based on. Anyone can edit Wikipedia and leftists in particular will do it with a vengeance to conservatives.
Something must be done about Google. When 90% of the world’s info searches are controlled by left wing hacks that is a big problem. Who could forget Google’s CEO holding his Champagne glass in HRC’s booth election night.
I remember Tucker Carlson interviewing Mike Lee and asking him if there were any plans for the Senate to look into the censorship of conservatives by the big three: Google, Facebook, Twitter. The dim bulb says, “It’s a free market users can find other avenues to communicate.” Of course, Facebook and Google both donate to Lee.
I think aliens have hacked into Google and are trying to make them look bad.
Google lives on IP based on methods of business and obvious software methods and algorithms. They hold very few production patents.
Google’s IP patents that have no foundation in production and delivery of a physical product should be rescinded to allow for orderly competition.
Google pulled out of some government contract negotiations because a group of employees objected. I’m sure some of those things the government was calling on google to do would have become or are in fact critical to the operations of the United States — that right there tells us there needs to be action.
Yes, and FB & Twitter. They are used for public utility and should be regulated as such
Who will GOOLAG blame this time?
This name calling chit is VERY VERY old
