A new ad for Jennifer Wexton, a top Democratic challenger to Virginia GOP Rep. Barbara Comstock, briefly features three police officers signing a poster promising Change is Coming.
But none of them are actual law enforcement. In fact, one of them is Matt Leslie, Wextons field director, who, according to his LinkedIn profile, has never been and is not currently police.

Comstock needs to be replaced with a real Republican in the primary.
To be honest, this sounds minor to me. People have actors playing doctors or lawyers on television all the time. Why bother three genuine cops with this?
I get making it an issue though, that’s just good politics.
I would use to my advantage if I were in Comstock’s place.
Cue the poster and just say “if she lied about this, what else will she lie about?”
Impersonating an officer...charge them!
Or maybe you should stop being a propaganda whore for the DNC
You may like Bush League Republicans hell bent on turning the USA into North Mexico, but I would rather they become extinct politically.
Shak Hill is running against Comstock in the primary - big improvement.
What she is really thinking is that they are writing cursive and none of the Progressive Ghetto natives will be able to read it!
Hmmm seems like a “Truth in Advertising” issue here. In most cases you have to declare when someone is NOT who they portray as in the “TV Doctors” ads or the “Not a Doctor” disclaimer you hear on the radio. Look closely, if someone is portraying an expert or professional of some kind there is usually something that explains the “Portrayal”. Otherwise, you could have Doctors, Professors, International Experts, Nobel Prize Winners, etc. advertising everything from rum soaked tampons to Gasoline Shooters with free “Sparky” shot glasses.
In CA a non-partisan (LOL) Organization called “COPS” sent out a Mailer endorsing Gavin Newsome and Diane Feinstein.
They were especially pleased with Feinstein’s position on Assault Rifles and High Capacity Magazines.
