In Barack Obama’s adopted hometown, of all places, his $375 million Obama Presidential Center is running into growing headwinds from a few gutsy souls.
Ironically, the winds aren’t gusting from the usual direction—Republicans and others the left often labels racist Obama-haters. Rather, it’s blowing from the very people who have long lionized Obama: white Chicago lakefront progressives, University of Chicago professors, environmentalists, African-American activists, and a community organization of the kind that once employed Obama as an organizer.
On May 14, a preservationist group called Protect Our Parks filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Chicago, seeking a court order that would bar local government agencies from building Obama’s center in the revered and beautiful Jackson Park, which served as the site of the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. The group also wants to bar the city from giving control of the center’s site to the Obama Foundation. They are opposed by a phalanx of avid Obama supporters headed by Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and including local labor unions, businesses, newspaper editorial boards, and a range of do-gooders who have uncritically embraced Obama’s library plans.
Imagine if Republicans had concocted a scheme to sell public land for a song to build a Donald Trump presidential library. Protect Our Parks argues that this is what the city of Chicago has done with Obama’s library, asserting that the Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago don’t have the authority to transfer public parkland to a nongovernmental entity such as the Obama Foundation, especially for a nominal amount of money and in violation of state law that bars the “illegal taking of public park land.” The suit claims the sale is “a short con shell game, a corrupt scheme to deceive and seemingly legitimize an illegal land grab.”

A hard-and-fast political rule is that anyone who opposes Barack Obama is a racist. Therefore I must conclude that all of the above-mentioned folks are racists.
Will they all have the decency to resign from their jobs, or do I have to start a protest movement?

I for one am scouting for a spotted owl sanctuary to recommend as a site for the Trump Presidential library. I am seeing if I can find one that has an Indian burial ground (casino not call center).

Once the left takes power, then they fight over who controls the power. Eventually, in most cases, it comes down to the control of one strong man, such as Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro, Maduro, Tito, etc.
It is pretty much built into the system. If the party needs to rule the people, somebody needs to rule the party.

Former President Obama just loves being front and center of all the attention in the media. The headlines are usually about some new scandal Obama is apart of, or his poorly executed plans during his presidency that are barely coming to the surface. Now the former president has been caught red handed in a “bait and switch” in personal museum scandal. His new plan is to snatch some public land right from under the noses of the people of Chicago. Obama wants to create a Presidential Library in the Public Park Land. However, some people are not too happy about the new Obama Presidential Center located in Jackson Park in the city of Chicago. A federal lawsuit is now set in place to end the construction of the Center.
Originally The Obama Presidential Center Advocates (OPCA) had gone through the appropriate channels. They went to the Chicago City Council and had an ordinance approved to lease out part of Historic Jackson Park. They had to transfer Public Park Land over to The City Of Chicago. The plan was to house a Presidential Library. But the plans magically changed.
Now The OPCA are intending to instead build a $500 Million Presidential Museum and monument focusing of course on Obama. The Presidential Library will be housed elsewhere or at least that’s the new plan. The Obama Presidential Center Advocates (OPCA) original plans to build the "Obama Presidential Library dedicated to the Sun God" magically changed.
On the same land approved by his ex-COS now Chicago Mayor, they will build a $500 Million Presidential Museum and monument as a “Tribute to Obama.”
The site is Obama's final resting place which will be dedicated to the Sun God.
Obama has said no federal tax dollars will be used to build the monument......
only tax dollars postmarked, Iran, Kenya, and other places he left piles of foreign aid.
Multiple conversations with Obama's foreign diplomats outlined active political meddling by the Obama
administration's State Department, using tax dollars to
support leftist causes in Macedonia, Albania, Latin America, and Africa.
There's the billions Obama gave the Muslim Brotherhood. And the millions he gave his Muslim African brother's "foundation." And, of course the billions Obama "settled" from banks and financial institutions from the mortgage crisis that he gave leftists like La Raza and Acorn to hold for him until he needed it.
Illinois took 170 million from the road fund and re-directed it to Obama’s Library.
It also looks like there is 360 million for road improvements near the Obama presidential library.
I guess a FREEP to pillage the tomb is out of the question?
Commie front groups such as United For Peace and Justice used to often bicker about various points with their comrades at the ANSWER Coalition.
