I would tend to agree that the shotgun is always the best home defense strategy.
But I look at these two characters and if they hadn’t met ‘fate’....they probably would have gone on in life to murder or assault twenty-odd people. They don’t seem to have had any fear of ‘passing-on’.

If your just coming home to find these most likely several time convicted Preps, your Carry piece would be you most likely choice. Unless you’d been to a Shooting Range that allows other types of weapons and you were practicing.
You’d not have time to get to your gun safe where you would store your Big fire power. Carry piece is the first available weapon for me.
If at home I’m like most others would chose my 12 gauge first. With CCW piece as back up.
