Mark Levin: ‘This was a complete setup’ by Philadelphia Eagles management
CR ^ | June 5, 2018 | Phil Shiver

LevinTV host Mark Levin slammed the Philadelphia Eagles Tuesday night on his radio show, calling their handling of the team’s White House visit a “complete setup.”

According to a report from Politico, the White House was informed last week that 81 players were planning to attend the event. But on Monday, the Eagles organization notified the White House that only a handful of players and team representatives would attend.

Levin went on a tirade against the Eagles for attempting to “sabotage” the president.

“You can take your union, your football, and your football field and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine,” Levin blasted.

Trump beat them to the punch. It was a perfect upper cut.

Agreed. Everything lefties do is to sabotage, disrupt and cause trouble, and then cry foul and play the martyr.

During the election Levin was a never Trumper. But I’m pretty happy with his turnaround. He’s been a defender and seems to be all-in now.

Hope it was worth it to them making an enemy of the POTUS for the next 6 years. He can keep their BS alive the whole time. $ $ $ $ $

Nobody in America likes the Eagles.

Agreed. The fact that the left immediately went into panic, pearl clutching mode means the Eaglets got served.

Unfortunately for the NFL, I think many football fans now agree with Mark Levin. For many, that big floating bubble of idolatry has been popped, and will never be quite what is was ever again. For these fans, watching the game is now a choice, not an unquestioned obligation to the local team.
There are other sports going on too.

Agreed. They probably thought he would just be a stooge and let them do some crap on live tv.

But, Trump said, "Never mind."

They musta been a little fried.

Must suck as a player that would have wanted to go to be screwed over by your own management for a political stunt.

I suspect that players that want to meet the President will be able to do so privately. That’s as it should be, it doesn’t have to be a public spectacle. In the past usually the President called the locker room after the game, and that was it.

Reports say QB Nick Foles was one of the players scheduled to visit the White House..from what I’ve read about him, devout Christian & planned to become a Pastor if football didn’t work out for him. Has been quiet about politics & rightly so..I’m paraphrasing but remember him saying something similar to “I’m here to play football, not politics” when someone asked him about the kneeling fiasco.

I was looking around a little over a week ago. I found that Levin did announce he would vote for Trump prior to the election.

If Gad been my belief that he hadn’t. Here was a guy that just blistered Trump, saying he’d never vote for him. Then a few weeks before the election, he changed his mind.

These guys who lead their flock away trashing Trump, really turn people off of him. Then they slink back to support him and their followers are whipsawed.

He should have been a more savvy guy.

He is right on target here. The Eagles tried to pull a fast one, and Trump pulled the rug out from under them.

Trump doesn’t put up with nonsense.
