EU: Iran's uranium enrichment doesn't breach deal

The European Union on Tuesday reacted to Iran’s announcement that it will boost uranium enrichment capacity, saying a “first assessment” indicated the plan does not breach its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal.

“Following a first assessment, the announced steps per se are not a violation of the JCPOA,” Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for EU diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini, told AFP, using the official name for the agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“However, at this particularly critical juncture, they will not contribute to build confidence in the nature of the Iranian nuclear program,” she added.

Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s nuclear chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, notified the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that the Iran Atomic Energy Organization is opening a center for producing new centrifuges for uranium enrichment at the Natanz nuclear site.

Remember that face and that name: Mogherini.

Whenever you think that the EU cannot become more stupid than it already is, this woman comes along and sets a new record. Obvious question:

If enriching uranium does not violate the JCPOA,

THEN WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS THE JCPOA?!

George Washington-like honesty is worthless when the "cherry tree" is a nuclear bomb, and it's already been detonated over a city.

I’m willing to give her the benefit of a doubt. She’s just a moron.

Hmm...so enrichment of uranium does not constitute a violation of an agreement Iran did not sign and that the U.S. Senate did not ratify. So I guess everything is OK. This is, after all, the European diplomatic genius that kept the world out of war in 1914, and again in 1938, 1940, and 1941. We could consider the Iran agreement peace in our time.

If you remember, these EU diplomats are the ones who bungled up the Ukraine deal, started the little civil war there, and helped to fracture the country. You could have accomplished that with 5th grade kids just as well.

Temporary restrictions on Iran's Uranium enrichment operations were the only substantial concession Iran made in it's nuclear deal. For all intents and purposes, restrictions on enrichment were the Iran nuclear deal

Mogherini is not stupid, she's bought off just like most every European politician

Getting bought off is a sure sign of stupidity in this case. She really thinks that selling new passenger aircraft to Iran is worth letting them nuke Rome right after they nuke Tel Aviv. An appeaser feeds his neighbors to the crocodile in hopes that it will eat him last. But a moron does so because she hopes to make a profit, and can’t imagine the crocodile is anything but her friend and trading partner.

The 5th graders might have avoided the civil war. They study history and might actually learn something from it in 5th grade. Euro-diplos studiously ignore history, and make it their business to learn nothing from it.

Obama’s “deal” (sic) with the Iranian islamonazi dictatorship was designed to do just what it’s doing - enable and protect them while they build a nuclear missile attack force ( and, notwithstanding their constant threats against their Arab and Israeli neighbors, they’ve made it crystal clear who their top priority is for annhilation — their so-called Great Satan, USA ).

Iran agreed to..

limit future enrichment to 3,7%

stop using two-thirds of its Gen 1 centrifuges..
6000 still usable.

AND
stop using all of its 1000 Gen 2 centrifuges

The EU’s abject surrender to their Iranian overlords doesn’t breach the deal. Iran’s making an object example of London, in case the Brits re-grow a backbone, doesn’t breach the deal.

But what “Deal”? Iran never signed anything and neither did we. The Senate never approved anything either. There is no “Deal”.
