The Philadelphia Eagles' White House contingent would apparently have been a small one, as quarterback Nick Foles and potentially one other player were planning to attend the ceremony, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Nick Foles has a memoir, Believe It, coming out June 26. It would be awesome to help him with some presales as you know he's going to get pounded by the media and fans. For those of you who don't know, he's working on grad work at Liberty University.

DJT should invite Foles to visit Walter Reed and then invite his family onto AF1 to fly to Mara Lago for a weekend

Eagles have always been classless. Despite my waning interest in the NFL, as a Giants fan, the Iggles have always been particularly loathesome.

I hope it ends the visits. It’s all racial. That’s all you hear about these days. That and gays. Trump can rub it in by inviting the winners of the Stanley Cup provided the ONE team with a black player doesn’t win it. Then he can announce the end to these visits. Throw in the idea that NFL cheerleaders should be eliminated.

Agree. It was a photo op. Just stop doing them.

BTW, is there going to be a Super Bowl this season?

Sickens me to see the way the media is trying to portray this as Trump’s fault.

Not his fault at all. The Eaglets wanted to embarrass the President with a weak showing. So guess what? He told them not to bother.

The Eaglets and their petty child-like players and owner (who should have told the players to act like adults) are going to rue the day they took on the President.

Who was the ‘other’ player? A Benghazi witness?

If the practice of inviting sports teams to the White House were to end would anyone care or notice? Pretty sure the answer is no.

I think the President should have welcomed whoever decided to show up, even if it was only Foles. That would have made the rest of these selfish clowns for the assjacks that they are. I bet their fans would have even turned on them for their disrespect of the Office of the POTUS.

Seeing how much Nick Foles would have been attacked by his teammates and the media, he has more courage than the rest of the team put together.

Foles better keep his eyes open especially for blind side hits this coming season. I would not put it past some scum to let that happen.

President Trump should have met with him and treated him royally. It would have heaped coals on the others’ heads and made Trump look magnanimous and gracious.

That the media spent all day yesterday chattering about this shows: a) it was a set-up; and, b) Trump busted the set-up.

As a plus, from my perspective, it further alienated the NFL in the eyes of the American public.

President Trump did the right things. About time, inviting these overpaid, anti-America, women abusing NFL players to the White House should stop.

I am looking forward to reading Nick Foles's memoir "Believe It." He is one of the very few pro football players I can respect.
