American celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, the Emmy-winning host of CNN‘s “Parts Unknown,” has died at the age of 61, according to the network.

CNN confirmed his death Friday and said the cause of death was suicide.

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” the network said in a statement Friday morning.

“His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

Bourdain, who was in France working on an upcoming episode of his show, was found unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning by his friend Eric Ripert, according to the network.

Why delete?

We can discuss how he hated America and loathed our deeply held values.

Didn’t he say horrible things about our president? I think he did.

No wonder there are so many accolades from tv network people. He hated America as much as they do.

Did he go out like a flambé, or wolfing down a couple of Big Mac's.

Suicide is not the way to go....he had family and friends. Hopefully he did not go out on a drug binge.

Maybe he can be cooked and eaten by that mutant who travels the world eating disgusting things.

I've watched his programs before and enjoyed them. He was a good storyteller who made the places he traveled to interesting.

He seemed to be an easy-going guy but you could tell he was wired a little tighter than his outward manner revealed.

I will not mourn him because I didn't know him and I don't have any affinity for liberals.

We don't know why he took his own life but there is no need to mock him in death. He was a human struggling like all the rest of us.

May he Rest In Peace.

Sad to hear, he was a very gifted story teller, politics aside. Although some think he hated America, I can’t agree. If you look at the West Virginia episode he recently aired, I was amazed at the respect he showed for the people in depressed coal towns. Also, he seemed to get on well with Ted Nugent.

“dies of suicide” - So, is that like a new illness or something? I guess in the old days people committed suicide, but now its just something that happens....

But since Bourdain was a liberal Trump hater, I guess they wanted to paint him in a better light. Anthony Bourdain’s anti-Trump campaign: https://www.newsmax.com/politics/anthony-bourdain-sweden-twitter-tweet/2017/02/20/id/774641/

What ever he had left to do, he didn't want to do it.

It is where liberalism leads you, hopelessness, depression and suicide.

I’ve struggled with depression for years, but suicide is not the way to deal with it. Live life. Deal with its ups and downs because you only get to do this once! I tried therapy and medication, but being high and miserable means your life is to be endured and not enjoyed. I have my good days and bad ones too, but life is a sacred gift! I choose to live because with all the bad things I’ve dealt with, and am dealing with now, nothing is better than seeing the sun come up, the tides roll in, and realizing every bad day is going to be surpassed by a great day! Have a great day Freeper Nation!

Hitler was a very talented dictator. I guess I missed where the allies were saddened when he offed himself.

All of the leftists are mini Hitlers.

And by “they”, I mean the news media. This source isn’t the only one reporting “dies of” or “died”
