This is a clip from the 1934 MGM musical. Jeanette was usually in operatic mode when singing with Nelson Eddy, but here she turns somewhere between jazzy and operatic. I’m not sure it’s a comfortable fit.

Jeannette spoofs her own discomfort with singing Jazz operatically in both “San Francisco” and “The Girl of the Golden West” (which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Opera of the same name! LOL)
