The United States government is now committing human rights atrocities within its own borders and against the most vulnerable people it can find. I don’t need to “understand,” much less take seriously, anyone who still supports this president* and his administration* because, if you do, you’ve taken the idea of America and run battery acid through its veins.

I’ve become so cynical concerning Jeff Sessions I could believe his primary intent by separating these mothers from their children is to cost Trump votes in 2020. He leaves vile, treasonous creatures like Hillary and Comey free as birds but makes a stand by separating illegal mothers from their toddler children? In this age of the 30 second sound bite, this is perfect fodder for heartbreaking ads attacking Trump and anyone else who doesn’t condemn this policy.

Unless there is a change in federal law, and then dealing with challenges citing Flores, the policy will stand. It would stand if Hillary or Bernie was elected. So it is safe, easy and cowardly for Democrats to attack Trump on a policy that's been around for 20 years that no one cared about until now.
