Merkel Abandons Migrant Quotas, Pushes for EU ‘Flexible Solidarity’ and Soros-Approved Africa Plan

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has largely abandoned support for the European Union’s migrant quota system, instead, pushing for what she has termed “flexible solidarity” and a “Marshall Plan” for Africa to prevent illegal migration. Merkel made her remarks on Wednesday at a meeting of the European People’s Party, a European Union parliamentary group of which Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CSU) is a member, Le Point reports.

“If we fail to provide a common answer to questions of illegal migration, the foundations of the European Union will be called into question. Action is really needed here,” she said.

Merkel appeared to drop support for the quota system passed in 2015 but successfully resisted by Hungary, Poland, Czechia, and later Austria under Chancellor Sebastian Kurz — and now the new Italian populist coalition government as well.

“As chancellor, I belong to the European Council… the question of a majority decision [in favour of quotas] is not relevant there. A solution on this subject will certainly have to be prepared in the European Council,” she added.

Merkel went on to talk about a “flexible solidarity system where everyone can contribute”, but neglected to go into any depth on the topic.

(1) Keep all African “migrants” out of Europe
(2) Kick out all the ones who are already here
(3) Leave Africa to its own devices - no “aid”, no big, costly, futile “plan”.

“Godless liberals obstructing Darwin.”

Darwin was a self-described agnostic later in his life and died one.

A “Marshall Plan” for Africa? Why? Was it recently sent through a world-war instigated by others? Did a cataclysmic natural catastrophe engulf the entire continent? Is Europe or the Western World as a whole responsible for conditions in Africa today? The answer to all those questions is no.

Then why a western sponsored “Marshall Plan”? Why does Europe accept the foolish notion that it is REQUIRED to take illegal migrants from Africa? It should not.

Africa’s problems are Africa’s governments, their policies and very often their corruption. A “Marshall Plan” will not cure what ails Africa. When and if it builds good state governments, foreign investment will come, without any “Marshall Plan”. But leave it to “Socialist” (Marsxists) like Merkel to put the economic cart in front of the horse, to no avail.

Send the “migrants” to Turkey. Turkey has an open, pluralistic society (sarc.)

You really have to be insane to think important tens of millions of Africans will make Europe better. Ditto with Arabs, although they have a slightly better chance of assimilating.

There are three key things that you could do, and it would make a difference in Africa. Shipping their brightest off to Europe, or bringing in tons of food every year....isn’t one of the three things.

First, you establish a real road network, where trade can take place....crossing borders. Second, you establish clean water for drinking and irrigation. Third, you go and establish a real electrical network/grid....without any entanglement into solar or wind.

If you accomplished these three things, it would transform Africa in three short decades into a capitalist land.

The Marshall plan was assistance to Europe to help the Europeans rebuild their economy. The Africans have been in the process of dismantling this vestige of colonialism for years. Pretty soon they will have eradicated all agricultural plots bigger than what is required to raise goats and pumpkins.

“The Marshall plan was assistance to Europe to help the Europeans rebuild their economy. The Africans have been in the process of dismantling this vestige of colonialism for years.”

Africans have been out from under European colonialism for more than half a century. It did not take the U.S. a half a century to “dismantle the vestiges” of European colonialism here.

On the other hand, the true racsim of the west, it’s “guilt” (racist thinking the “poor” Africans cannot stand on their own) , while ending colonialism assumed they must always fund “assistance” and “aid” to Africa. That has hindered real development in Africa because it has more than anything else helped feed corruption in Africa and with that corruption bad governments that, just like the Europeans, promise hand outs. There are some Africans, usually well educated, who understand that and have been calling for an end to massive aid projects from the west, knowing they do not lead to development.

Until you have good governments and good governance in African states, neither will foreign investment come in, nor will corruption hinder the efficiency of, and waste in, “infrastructure development”. There is only one thing Africa needs - good governments and with them good governance. The rest - foreign investment and domestic revenues for infrastructure development will follow.

If Europe wants to do a Marshall Plan, perhaps call it a Merkel Plan with funds coming from European taxpayers, fine with me. But then the US needs to reduce in military presence in those countries supporting the Merkel Plan.

Given the natural resources of Africa, I am not sure a Merkel Plan is necessary. Certainly oil rich states such as Gabon won’t need the funds.

“Marshall Plan” for Africa to prevent illegal migration.

So... The German Chancellor wants a new Berlin Conference to divide Africa up into “aid zones”. Germany will develop East Africa, Namibia, and Cameroon, the Belgians will develop Congo, Ruwanda, and Burundi, the Portuguese will develop Mozambique and Angola, and the Brits and French will get pretty much everything else, with a few scraps thrown in for the Italians and Spanish.
