Just a general opinion, the U.S should declare war on the cartels and use any method it can to destroy them. Including bombing their homes and bases without prior approval from the Mexican government.

That's pretty funny, our own US Government IS THE CARTEL!! We created them, we launder their money, We supply their weapons, We allow their products in, we OWN THEM, and have for quite some time. You can NOT have a War on Drugs without Drugs.

That’s an excellent idea which I have brought up in conversations with friends, however it has been pointed out to me that even though we do the. very same things in places like Southeast Asia and Afghanistan for the exact same reasons, we will never do it in Mexico because the ruling elite in our country profit from the crime, graft, corruption, illegal immigration and drugs from Mexico.
